Versa won’t turn on after factory reset

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I did a factory reset on my versa on Saturday December 18th and since then it has stopped working. The screen is black and I have charged it for at least 8 hours a day since then but it still won’t turn in. I even did the 3-button reset method, but that was of no use. So I was wondering what could be wrong with it. Please respond ASAP so I know what I should do.

Hi there, @Ayushi22. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa before reaching out.

As a first approach, I'd recommend restarting your Versa. For instructions, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If that doesn't work and your Versa doesn't vibrate when performing the restart, please try the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable (both of them) using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

Hi @Ayushi22 - there is a known bug in the factory reset which in some cases destroys the watch so it no longer appears to work.

Once it's fully discharged pushing the button will display a battery with 0%, if it's blank then it may not yet be fully discharged.
