Versa won't turn on after swimming

I swam in my Versa for the first time. 5 ft only nothing deeper. It actually died before I even swam. I was in the lazy river. I didn’t soak it. Sometimes it would go in the water and other times it wasn’t in the water. By the time I decided to set the swim and do laps it died. Now it won’t charge, not that it needed charging. I can’t get it to turn on, nothing. I’m pretty upset as that’s why I wanted it. Help!
