After swimming for the first time in a while my fit bit versa has died (despite my phone saying it has 43%), now it won’t charge or allow me to reset? Help please!

Thanks for your post and for trying some steps. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

Thank you for the reply and link, no the lights aren’t flashing either 😟 I’ve tried cleaning, attempting to reset, different USB charger plugs and still nothing. 

ive had it since January 2019, it can’t be expired can it?
