Versa won't turn on and is very hot while charging it

Ok here it goes my versa was almost dead the other morning before I went to work so I plug it in to charge. Then i went and got other things done, came back to my versa hot as can be and not turning on.  I dont know what happened or even how to fix it.  I just want my fitbit versa back. Please help me figure it out

Had same issue with battery over heating and fit versa never worked after that.  Contacted Fitbit but no help.hate to purchase another if the life spam is so short, I saved for this and am disappointed.

Try contacting them again. I am out of warranty but they are replacing my
Versa.

Not sure who I would contact.  I no longer have a receipt but know it's past the warranty period.  For the cost of the Fit Bit Versa, this was very frustrating.  If I can figure who to contact, I'll get in touch with them.  Thanks for your reply.

my battery also stop keep a charge for no longer than 10 hours 3 days ago. Strange.

Contact customer service. I did not have to provide a receipt. I just told
them it is out of warranty. They will also ask where and maybe when you
bought it. Good luck. I suspect mine was replaced because it was a fire
hazard and thus, potential liability for them.

Elizbit, I decided it was worth the effort to contact FitBit directly & see if I'd have the same luck as you.  Spoke with the "Chat" line today & due to the overheating issue & other problems with my Versa 2.  After verifying my account, they are extending the warranty to cover it.  They have sent me the return info & label for the FitBit unit & charger. Once they get it all back they'll send a replacement. Keeping my fingers crossed.  Thanks again.

taken a while, but I’ll be so happy to get my new one.
