Hello, I’m having problem with my Versa. The screen went black and not turning on even after I charged and did the ‘ 3 button press’.

Anything else that I can do ? Appreciate any help from fellow community. Thank you.

Hi, in principle this is logical cause there is no Firmware installed anymore on your Versa after a FR. Read this article about a factory reset and what to do after that. Click the link and you will get all the needed information about the FR and how to setup your Versa after that all over again to your phone as the Versa acts like a brand new, in the box, watch after a FR. Good luck!!

@akmalmnrosli Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response. However, I'm happy to help you with your Fitbit Versa since its screen won't turn on even though you've charged it and restarted it before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. It also contains the restart process but you can skip it since you already tried it. After trying those steps, check out if your Versa comes back to life.

Thank you for your help my friend @SunsetRunner!

See you later! 😀

That does not work.  I've tried it for an hour and still a black screen.  Yes it is fully charged

My Heart rate was showing extremely high levels. Tried a few resets but did not work. So finally did a factory reset. Have held the three buttons several times and it won’t turn on 😞 Have had this Versa a couple of years and am generally a big Fitbit fan but this is the second time the watch has failed. What can I do?

This happened to me too.

First my versa was showing high pulse rates all the time, I did a factory reset. After this, the pulse monitor stopped working. There was no green light. I put it on factory reset again. The battery at this point was at 50%. Now it is not turning back on. I’ve had this watch for 18 months. This is the first time I’ve faced any issue. I ve tried pressing the buttons , charging for long hours, still it wont turn back on

This is exactly what happened to me. HR kept showing 123bpm so I factory reset it. Then today there was a firmware update so I did that. The heart rate sensor was still off (no green light) so I factory reset it using the 3 buttons. Now it's off and refuses to turn on. It is charged so it's definitely no the battery. This seems like a known issue. And how convenient that this happens immediately after the firmware update.

If your watch is under warranty, you qualify for a replacement. Mine was already 18 months old and out of warranty, so they weren't able to help me out since they do not have any service centers in my country. Pathetic customer support by @fitibit . Te firmware update should not have done this to our devices. They're the worst. I am never recommending fitibit to anyone after my experience. My watch is of no use now.

I have had the worst experience with fitbit. I would never recommend them to anyone. My ionic broke one day because something happened during an update and it never turned on again. My Fitbit versa now dies because the heart rate monitor wasn't working so I factory reset it and the screen went black and never turned on again and apparently all they can do is give me a stupid discount

No I'm never going to buy another one it's ridiculous how they stop working for no reason

I could not get the heart rate monitor to work again and took all the necessary steps. Final attempt to remedy was the "3 button" factory reset. Versa will no longer turn on. Shows no sign of charging. Not under warranty. Has worked perfectly fine until heart monitor stopped and factory reset. Please help. I don't want a discount for a new one, I just want this one to work. Thank you in advance.

I am having the same issue. I tried doing a factory reset and now it won’t turn back on. I was fully charged at the time of the factory reset. I have tried holding down all three buttons for over three minutes and the screen is still black. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated to get my Versa working again. My Versa is likely not under warranty as I have had it for approximately 18 months. It has functioned perfectly well until attempting this factory reset.

Same thing just happened to me. I’m considering switching to Garmin. So annoying.

Hello, I have this same problem, mine however started on June 26, I've reached out to Fitbit, I did receive a reply with troubleshooting suggestions nothing has worked and I have not heard from them since July 4.  Was thinking it was the holiday, however since then I have heard nothing.  I am very disappointed with Fitbit.  I will more than likely find a different fit tracker. Hope you have more success than I have. Good Luck

I had to call customer service twice.  The first time they had me do a factory reset but the same problem came back after a few days.  The second call resulted in getting it replaced since it is still under warranty.
