If it's under warranty, call them, do what they say. If it doesn't help, tell them it's under warranty and you want a replacement. That is what I did. There is no charge if you order the same watch. You need to keep the band. They only send the face.

Set up your new watch only by using the Fitbit app itself. Do not try to pair with your phone outside the Fitbit app. It will end up crashing and not restart! Only use the Fitbit app. Once you do use the app the setup is virtually seamless. Just follow the popups on your phone and the watch.

Believe me, I have tried it all. At this point I also worked with at least ten customer service help techs and nothing helped. I've used both the phone and online help. They sent me a new watch. I had a very slight problem with it and following their advice, the screen went dead and nothing they suggested worked. They are now sending me a third watch. So many people are having the same problems. Almost all headings under Versa refer to problems syncing or turning on. I really feel that everyone who is having trouble with their watch needs to put it in the store reviews so customers can see the problem.

This platform is to discuss Fitbit challenges and how the challenges can be resolved. It is not a platform for marketing Garmin or any other products. Garmin and other products also have their challenges.

Thank YOu!!!! My battery was low and the fitbit turned off. I couldn't get it to charge. My charger has a broken pin. Ordered a new one, and in the meantime borrowed one from a friend. Still would not charge!
While on hold with fitbit, was scanning through trouble shooting and found your post!!! Thank You! it worked!!!

Called Fitbit and they helped me with the reset and update. A couple of steps I was missing.

I tried this but it still didn't turn on . All was fine until I left it on charge and forgot about it for a few days. Any other ideas?

A moment of silence, my replacement Fitbit has finally died. She was fine working away, then I noticed it hadn't let me know to move at 10 to, I looked down and to my shock she wouldn't turn on. I tried the three button, I put it on the charger, nothing but heat. I guess I'm in the market for a new smart watch, any recommendations? Is it difficult to set up a new watch on your PC and phone, do you have to delete the Fitbit apps. Is there any Fitbit that doesn't fail so easily?

This just happened to me last night. Put it in the charger and got really warm and won't turn on. Only had it two years and support said to buy a new one. After having Fitbits for several years, very disappointed with the Versa and will look at the other brands mentioned in this thread for my next one. Waste of money to get another Versa.

Happened to me too last night, for the second time in a month (the first time I left it “dead” for a few days—off of the charger—and then it DID charge up properly). But Alejandra’s suggestion, which I FINALLY found on page 60 of the Versa Product Manual as well, actually worked: press the Left and Right Bottom buttons until you see the Versa logo, then let go. I then put it on the charger again (where it had been all night) and it went from 4% to 100% in 2 minutes and is now fine. So it WAS actually charging all night it turns out. Try it and see if that works for you too!

Two days ago I had the same problem after of two years of no issues, I tried the 3 buttons hold to five mins and nothing, my fitbit only worked while charging so I performed a factory reset and it was working without charging but it had a big lag so I shut down the device and now it won't turn on at all including holding the three buttons, it seems there is no power.
I have emailed fitbit support and I got an extension two years warranty until 2021 so hopefully they can send me a replacement.

My suggestion to you is to insist on a replacement if the watch is under warranty. If you've followed their directions and can't get the watch to work correctly, it is their problem. I'm on my third watch since the end of March. I was having sync problems and blank screens. Nothing helped including hitting the three buttons and going through about ten help assistance. I finally insisted that I get a replacement since my warranty expires the end of May. I received a second Versa. It had a minor problem. I couldn't get distance and flights on my watch. I called the help line and they gave me directions, which I was following. All of a sudden the screen went blank. After spending over an hour more on the phone, I was connected with another agent. He too couldn't correct it, so he sent me another one. This time they sent me a Versa II. Guess what - it too does not have distance and flights on the watch. I'm afraid to call them, but I will do it in the morning since my warranty expires in two weeks.

I tried pressing the buttons without success and i was complaining to my husband about it. I decided to give it one more try on the charger and all of a sudden the screen came to life and it charged and is working fine. I tried it on the charger because my fingers were sore from holding those 3 buttons down so i thought the charger might hold them and it did.
