Thank you for coming back and saying that my suggestion worked for you. I know it doesn't work for everybody but it worked for me and like you I was totally frustrated that this fitness tracker just wouldn't turn on. Also like you I had just charged it and it just wouldn't turn on after that.
Thanks again for reporting back.
Try my solution to to get it working.
Do exactly what I have sayed and it might work for you as it has done for others. If it doesn't, contact Customer Services and they will send you another one.

How do you turn on a Fitbit Versa with ONLY 1 button.

Julia where in my solution does it say Turn on with ONE button only?.....I don't remember putting that. Are you sure you have the correct thread?

My fitbit versa won't come on. I charged it from 0% night before last, and it worked fine yesterday. I felt it do the reminder thing earlier and looked down to a black screen, so I tapped the back button, nothing...put it on the charge port to see if it was dead again, nothing. The greenlight is flashing on the back. It won't even let me do a re set...what's going on?

Can anyone help me? My fitbit versa will not turn on despite having been on the charger multiple hours. I have tried the following power resets and no matter how long I hold the three buttons to try and reset. My Fitbit is lifeless. Are there any other solutions?

Try this. Leave it for a day or so....at least 24 hrs. Don’t put it on the charger. The try the three buttons and hold the buttons in until you see the Fitbit logo. The logo might appear and then go out. If nothing happens then leave it for another couple of minutes and hold the buttons in until the logo comes. If nothing happens then I’m afraid it is dead and then phone Customer Services and tell them what you have done and they will send you a replacement. Their Customer Services Team are probably the best around and will be very helpful.

I am about to do the same thing and switch to Garmin. I've had three fitbit's and they've all had issues after a few months. I've heard a lot of positive feedback about garmins.

My verse is doing a similar thing. I got it to replace my HR which I left in the car for about 3 hours while I was working last summer and it was close to 100 out. After that it wouldn’t turn on so I upgraded. Today I left it on the charger on my bed while I was doing some housework. I came back and my sister was laying in my bed with a blanket over it. It was really hot so I took it off the charger and let it cool off but it still won’t turn on. Thinking about switching to Apple Watch....

I would suggest leaving it for 24 hrs at least and then trying the three button solution which means holding down the three buttons for at least 3 to 4 minutes or how long it takes for the Fitbit Logo to come up and then letting go of the buttons. If that doesn't work trying leaving for another 24 hrs and doing same 3 button method and if that doesn't work then I'm afraid it looks like it is toast. Should then phone Customer Services and see if they can send you a replacement
I think it has got too hot and it has been on the charger far too long.

Well just leave it for a day or so and try the three button method. Hold them down together until the logo comes up. It could be that it has been overcharged and overheated but leaving it for a day isn't going to do it any harm and if it doesn't work at least you have tried all avenues to make it work. Then phone customer services and I'm sure they will send you a replacement....they are more than helpful. Keep us updated

Yesterday the screen on my versa went black. And I thought that's weird I didn't get any notifications that the battery was low. I put it on the charger left for the day and just took it off the charger. It won't turn on. No lights flashing. Nothing. After I tried holding all the buttons down it got warm, but nothing happened. Is there anything else I can try?

My Versa was a Christmas gift. I am going to try contacting them as well.

missdardy, I think that probably you may have left it on the charger for too long. Look I am only guessing that because something similar happened to me plus I have been following this thread for quite a while now and one common denominator is the Versa not turning on after a day or so of charging. Yes, I know that your versa didn't come on before you charged it for a long time. It may be a different problem from what others on this have been having but let's try and treat as if you have charged it for too long and try this:-
I would suggest leaving it for 24 hrs at least and then trying the three button solution which means holding down the three buttons for at least 3 to 4 minutes or how long it takes for the Fitbit Logo to come up and then letting go of the buttons. If that doesn't work trying leaving for another 24 hrs and doing the same 3 button method and if that doesn't work then I'm afraid it looks like it is toast. You should then phone Customer Services and see if they can send you a replacement I think it has got too hot and it has been on the charger for far too long".
If you can, let me know if it works.......there is definitely something wrong with leaving the Versa on the charger for long periods, like over 3 hrs and I think Fitbit needs to address that. They either need to put a warning into their startup guide or they need to fit something that stops the Fitbit from taking a charge after it has fully charged.....I'm sure that could be done

Townzy12, Yes I would contact the company and Customer Services Dept.....they are very very helpful. Tell them what you have done to try and fix it and tell them that it got quite warm after charging. I'm sure they will send you a replacement. I think the problem lies with the versa and it taking a charge. It seems not like taking long periods of charge and Fitbit needs to address that problem because this thread is littered with people having trouble turning the Versa on after charging. Best of Luck. If you can come back to this thread and let us know how you get on with Customers Services
