Versa won't update the firmware

I have an iPhone X and have their most recent OS.  I can’t get my Versa update to download.  The update downloads then moves to installing and then goes back to downloading.  It’s in a never ending loop.  I have delete the Fitbit app & reinstalled, reset my versa watch and have turned my phone off and on.  Nothing works.  Any other suggestions?

Hi @ncamacWelcome back to the forums! I'm sorry for my delayed response.

I'm sorry that your Versa isn't updated, and thanks for the steps that you tried prior posting.  You did a fantastic job! Just to confirm, is the Fitbit app updated to the 3.1 version? Although you've tried troubleshooting your Versa, please give a try to the following steps in the given order:

  1. Remove the Versa from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your iPhone one more time.
  3. Turn off other Bluetooth connections that are nearby.
  4. Plug the Versa into the charging cradle and make sure it's next to the router.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account icon.
  6. Tap on setup a device, choose the Versa and the option to replace.
  7. Follow the onscreen instructions, and continue through the update process.

Keep me posted. Woman Happy

Hi Lizzy....

After 2 hours the below instructions didn’t work. The watch did two cycles of downloading and then installing. It never completes the install. Starts the install but then reverts to downloading. 🙁

Thanks,

Nancy
