Hey guys,
I went swimming the other day with my Versa on, it had a major hissyfit, couldn’t touch the screen, and kept vibrating every 2 seconds. Just left it for a few days. I had it on charge all day today and it’s only on 88% (according to my phone but won’t connect to it), and it only stays on while on charge. As soon as you take it off, it shuts down and can’t do anything with it. Anyone have this issue? How did you fix it? No idea how long warranties go for with these as I bought it second hand from someone and they gave me the box and receipt for it. It’s roughly 18months old (I’ve had it for 6 months)

It happened to me too. Possibly leave it for a few days to dry out in a warm place and never get it wet again.
If you check the 4 little windows on the back with a magnifying glass you may see humidity in it.
I replaced mine, as it never was very reliable after getting water in it.

Hi @Nicole1931995, welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation
Looking forward to your reply.

7 months old. Hasn’t turned back on after a swim. Clearly water damage.

Done all that and still not working.
the heart rate sensors are just on, not flashing, as it is charged just not staying on...

Welcome aboard @EStarchief and thanks for your update @Nicole1931995.
@Nicole1931995 I'm sorry to know that you're still experiencing difficulties with the display of your Fitbit Versa. Since the heart rate sensors of your device are still on, my best advice for you will be to do a factory reset following the next steps:
Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.
@EStarchief I appreciate the image that was attached into your post, it's a shame to know that the display of your Versa is malfunctioning after swimming with it. For us to move on, can you please let me know if do you see condensation or water droplets inside your device that can confirm that it was damaged by water? Did you already try the restart process that was shared on my previous post? If you did but to no avail, please try the factory reset procedure that was shared above and let me know the outcome.
I'll be around.
