Versa won’t work over my tattoo

Have a black tattoo on my left forearm where I wear my watch and my versa doesn’t always pick up my heart rate or read my active movements properly when I wear it. 

very rarely it’ll work perfectly over the tattoo but most of the time I have no heart rate. Works fine on the other wrist I just can’t wear it on there. 

anyone else ever had this problem? How’d you fix it?

Hi @Ally1992  over the years, a few members have posted with this problem. What seemed to work for them was putting a white medical tape under the sensor and it was able to pick up the heart rate and activities. The darker the ink and the skin seemed to make it harder for the sensor to pick up the data. Try using a white tape under the sensor and see if it works for you. Please let us know what results you have. It just might help the next person who has a tattoo.
