Versa wont connect to Bluetooth(Pixel 2 XL)

Hi I just bought my versa last night and everything's working great but I can't seem to get it to connect to my phones Bluetooth for notifications and music, it appears connected in my phones Bluetooth devices list but the connect button is still there, when I press it it just doesn't do anything. as well as my fitbit says to connect through my phone to see notifications. I've tried restarting my phone, fitbit, stopping the app, forgetting the device from the Bluetooth list but I just cannot seem to get bluetooth to work. Theres a similar post to my issue but the person's solution was that it just worked over night

So the notifications just randomly started working so I guess this post is pointless now

Good luck, I also have a pixel 2, and no luck with the Versa.  It's an absolute shame that Fitbit won't do anything to fix this.  These posts date back over a year now and nothing has been done to fix the issue with the pixel 2.
