@YvonneDreptate so basically you're having a problem with one particular clockface or any clockface you're trying to install gives you an error?

@Marrrmaduke Basically no. I have tried multiple clock faces as I have stated previously.
UPDATE: I deleted everything on my Fitbit and tried again. I can install apps so it's not connectivity. I assumed it must be a space issue and was right. This is Bad UX when the error I kept getting could not inform me it was a space issue and not a connectivity issue.

I am having the same issue - it is with every clock face I try. Keep getting unable to connect - be sure device is powered on and nearby. Meanwhile I have turned everything on and off and rebooted and stood on my head to convince the powere that be the device is ON and could not be any closer - yet the search bar goes back and forth - literally for days - until I either give up or something it says oh yes, there it is, and installs the face. Way more than annoying - makes me want to slam something into a wall, only I know that won't be helpful. Getting really tired of it all.

@YvonneDreptate Space issue becomes problematic only if you have lots of apps installed (i think more than 35... I'm not sure if I remember the number correctly) or of course you filled your Versa with music. This is nothing new. Any device has a space limit. Your computer as well. No space, no new install. Koodos go to you though for noticing what was causing the problem!

You're saying that 35 apps MIGHT be too many? I have ten. Then so of course I loaded my Versa with music - well, guilty - it was a mighty pain but I finally managed to load a FEW songs, but would appreciate a definition of "loaded" - for instance do you mean loaded in relation to, say, 35 or more apps, with a playlist that runs for hours, or what? The little music I finally settled for, after all the effort it took to put on there, I would happily get rid of, as listening to music on my watch is not exactly a huge issue for me ... Would LOVE for somebody to tell me how to UNload it - I have a sneaky feeling it is not as simple a matter as just deleting the little music app icon - am I right? I would need really clearly detailed instructions for ridding my Versa of all music, because the process of getting it on there was so hair-tearingly complicated my brain was burned out by the time it was done, so getting myself geared up for the process in reverse would require a lot of patience.

I keep turning off iphone and watch. How often did you have to do this?

@Cricketnoel Tap on Settings on your Versa, then scroll down to About and check what Available Memory says.
@Natasha_Romanov Try re-pairing procedure:
The trick here is to not pair in phone Bluetooth settings but rather let the Fitbit mobile app do that.

it says 2,235 mb - now what

@Cricketnoel That's enough room to install a looooot of clockfaces. I would hazard a guess that the bluetooth connection is not stable. Can you remind me your phone model, OS and Versa firmware version? Does your Versa sync without issues? When was the last sync according to Fitbit mobile app or Dashboard on Fitbit.com? Also, are you receiving notifications?

My phone is LG K-20 (android?), versa version 32.32.10.15, fitbit dot com says synced 1 minute ago.
When you say enough room for a lot of clockfaces, please explain ... does not one clockface disapear from your fitbit when you upload another? I would have hoped that to be the case, and the fitbit itself does not store a multitude of faces. If it did, you could probably just go back and launch it again on the device but, as far as I can tell, you have to hunt down and select/load your next face from scratch in the gallery, regardless whether you have used it before. OR do you mean enough room for a lot of stat-heavy clockfaces as opposed to smaller, simpler ones?
About receiving notifications -- what kinds of notifications should I be looking for? The only thing that calls itself to my attention is how many steps to go in the last ten minutes of the hour ... anything else I am not aware of or am not looking for ... I don't care about notifications in general though I appreciate the email from my versa telling me it the charge is getting low (it gets anxkous anywhere lower than 23%).
As for the stability of the bluetooth connection - yes there are issues with that. In addition to telling me to be sure my device is on (it is) and nearby (it is), it could also tell me please go to your system preferences to turn on bluetooth (IT IS ON!).
Meanwhile I have one clockface that has been searching for my Versa for oh, maybe 20 hours now - I selected it sometime yesterday afternoon and, from time to time, check on its progress and the search bar is still going back and forth, back and forth.... The last one I uploaded took a couple of days searching searching searching, and I was sitting at the dining table one afternoon and my wrist gave a little hiccup and, when I checked, there was the new face. Unfortunately now I want a different one. It should not be this difficult.
HOWEVER, this particular Versa is in the process of being replaced because of other, intermittent but apparently unfixable display issues, which might possibly be the cause of or related to my connectivity problems, so we will see when the new one arrives if it behaves any better. Marrrmaduke, thank you for your kind attention and patience in examining and explaining Versa issues. I appreciate your help.

I'm having the same issue. I cannot change the clock face at all. It's still stuck on the very first one I ever chose. I've tried all the steps mentioned above to no avail. I'm beyond frustrated. I've only had the Fitbit Versa for less than a week.

same with clock face. super annoying. have tried so many, starting with the Bitmoji and it says "cannot install on Versa," which is know is not the case. And yes, it's already connected to snapchat, etc, etc and yes, i've rebooted everything already.

Thanks you have saved my sanity. at last something that works! It seems that experimentation and just keep trying and eventually a combination of everyone’s comments brings results. thanks for taking the time to post at last I have a fully functional fitbit - I love my Versa, but the idiosyncrasies of its set up have driven me to distraction. I can now have a c of coffee and enjoy.
Thanks again

I have a brand new Versa that I just received yesterday and am trying to install a clock face. I click several faces, but all give an error message that they can't be downloaded. I haven't downloaded any apps because it won't let me do that either. I've tried every single suggestion on this thread and I'm still sitting with a useless device. I have a Galaxy S9+, which is listed as a compatible device. I can't swipe, pressing the buttons does nothing except turn it off and on. It's synced, I get the green check mark when it's synced, it's recording data in the app, but I can't use the watch at all. I've spent hours on this and am at the point where it's going back for a refund.

I cant download like 90% of the clock faces to my new versa. Even the free ones. I keep getting the message: "this clock cannot be installed on your device." What am I doing wrong?

I ran into the same problem. I just read someone else's solution to put it in the charging station and it worked. Why don't they give this information ahead of time so you don't end up pulling your hair out.
