Versa2 froze, now won't pair with Jabra Elite earbuds

While jogging, the Versa (I literally just got it a week ago), froze and turned off.  When turning back on, it will detect the Jabra Elite earbuds, but when I go to pair, it spins then says failure to connect.  My phone wasn't on me.  There were no other competing bluetooth devices in the area.

 

I've done soft AND hard factory resets, and still no luck.  The headphones will pair with everything else I have, and the Versa detects them in pairing mode, but won't actually connect.  Tech support has been no help.  The call literally went like this:

 

Me: During my run, the versa shut down on its own. When it started back, it won't connect to my bluetooth headphones. It shows them there, and detects them ready for pairing, but I get connection failed each time. There are no other bluetooth devices around.
Him: So...you're having problems pairing your phone?
Me: No. It pairs my phone fine. It's the bluetoooth headphones it won't pair with. I've even done a factory reset.
Him: Let me put you on hold.
Him: so you can't pair with your phone?
Me, about to lose my mind: No. it's my headphones that refuse to pair. It detects them ready for pairing, but fails.
Him: let me put you on hold
Him: So you can't connect with your phone?
