Versa3 and Google Wallet not working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After successfully using my credit card with Fitbit pay on my Versa3 for about a year, Fitbit encouraged me to swap to Google Pay. Despite being able to use Google Pay on my Samsung phone, Fitbit won't allow me to link my card via Google Pay. My bank (Bendigo) is listed as eligible or suitable. Bendigo Bank just said their card is not accepted by Fitbit. Is Fitbit going to allow Bendigo Bank credit cards to be used via Google Pay ?  If not can I go back to using Fitbit pay ?

I have a similar issue. My Santander card was removed and Fitbit will not allow my I phone to access Google wallet. This is a seriously retrograde step

Yes they wrote it up as a great step forward but in practice it's prevented us from using contactless payment.

I’m experiencing the same problem with my Italian bank. I also contacted them and they told me that at the moment their card cannot be inserted in Google Wallet for Fitbit.
I have a Fitbit smartwatch specifically for contactless payments..

Thanks. Sounds like their idea of moving to Google Wallet is not such a great one.  I'm trying to see what my bank can do to resolve the situation given it's so difficult to contact Fitbit.

Similar issue with QUDOS bank. Card appears on watch, message from QUDOS saying all good to go, but doesn’t work at the card reader. Checked with QUDOS and they say all good at their end. I’m using an iPhone to host the app. Could this be an issue iPhone not talking google?

I am experiencing the same problem with Revolut Bank. This is the first time Fitbit is in trouble. I have been a customer more than 10 years. If this problem is not solved then I have to go for Samsung Galaxy Watch 6.

Thanks - looks like FirBit have a widespread issue that they're not even
acknowledging

I was using Fitbit Pay on my Versa 3, switched over to Google Wallet and all was working perfectly. (Android phone) Last week my Versa 3 died. I received a replacement (refurbished) Versa 3 today and all works normally except I can't set up Google Wallet. Keep getting an error message.

I had almost the same experience. Fitbit Pay worked fine on my Versa3 for
at least 12 months. At Fitbit's encouragement I attempted to switch to
Google Wallet and it said my Cr card not suitable for my device! The worst
of it is that I can't find a way to go back to Fitbit Pay.

Glad to hear you found a way. Could you spell out the steps you took? I
tried cancelling my Cr card on Google Wallet, then reinstalled it, but
still Fitbit still won't accept my Cr card.

I had a bit of trouble switching at first, but I did get it to switch to
Google Wallet and work fine. That's why I'm stumped that I can't get it on
this replacement Versa 3. Unfortunately, I don't think you can get back to
Fitbit pay once you've made the switch.

Any update on this? having the same issue since the switch. Fitbit pay was fine. I managed to add the usual card  I use to google wallet and pay with it. Today, maybe a few days later the card mysteriously disappeared. On my watch interface it asks me to add a card to the wallet but when I try it always has an error. Been using mine for 2 years without issue, it's really a shame.

Fitbit seems to be having financial difficulties. The payment feature issue is causing real problems for the company, and they do not seem to have any solutions yet. If Fitbit cannot solve this issue within a month, then I will have to abandon the products and go for Samsung.

No, they have not solved the problem yet. I have the current version of the
app, the current software on the Versa 3, etc.

When I switched from Fitbit Pay to Google Wallet on my previous Versa 3, it
changed the icon on the Versa 3 to the Google Wallet icon. Currently, this
Versa 3 has the green Wallet icon.

I have asked them if they can push an update to the Versa 3 itself, but no
response yet

Sorry no update.  Complete silence from Fitbit.  Can only assume the comment on this string that maybe Fitbit have have major financial issues and are unable to address this failure of their payment system.

Maybe we need to wait for dimission of Fitbit Pay (end of this month) for our Versas.
The strange thing is that on a Versa 2 I added a Revolut Card without problem but I am not able to add any kind of card on my Versa 3 (also the same debit card that I just added on the other Versa 2).
