I’ve been trying to get the firmWare update pushed but it continues to fail with a red x whether i use Bluetooth or WiFi. I’ve tried everything I’ve read to troubleshoot and I also called support. The guy from support walked me through a list of things to try and nothing worked. He then told me they were having problems and to try tomorrow (not sure why he didn’t know this when we started the call) So I’m just curious if they really are having issues or if it’s a defective unit.

you have to update it to use it right from the beginning. troubleshooting. no luck. on the phone with Fitbit no luck. called my internet provider made sure it is compatible because Fitbit thought that was the problem. still no luck. hating my new versa after wasting two days just trying to update the firmware in order to use it!!

I had the exact same problem - nothing helped, I read and tried all the possible solutions a couple of times, than had it replaced and the new one works without any troubles.

I'm so very sad - I cannot setup my Versa either - I was so excited to get it, and now I can't get it to setup, same problem as all of these say. I'm now hoping that fitbit figures out why this is happening to so many of us and fixes the problem!
I love fitbit and have used my Blaze for several years, was very excited to "upgrade" to the Versa, and now the problems start!
I reinstalled my Blaze and am using that since my Versa wouldn't setup.

I am having the same issues. Why don't they post that they are having issues on the dashboard and then I wouldn't waste all my time trying to get it to update.

I just got mine for Christmas and have spent 8-10 hours with the same issues, won't complete update of firmware. Computer and Cell phone have the same issues. 100 percent complete, and then the blue flashing icon. THAT'S IT! SUCKS! Has never started up once. SERIOUS ISSUES!!!

I've tried this 3 times successfully, but does not resolve the issue, but only causes you to spend another hour of watching this piece of junk go through the same routine over and over. I tried with my cell phone and computer 2-3 times each...same results. Factory Reset does nothing!!!

Here's help. Take this annoying gadget back to where you bought it. This is typical of headaches with this company
