Version 32.70.7.14 requires goal setting for each exercise - can this be turned off?

Having updated to Version 32.70.14, now starting an exercise requires several more taps on the watch to set a goal for that exercise. The goal is not preserved from one episode of the exercise to the next. That, plus the continuing problem that auto recognize basically never works, means I have to do lots of tapping every time I start an exercise. Is there a way to turn off the goal-setting requirement, so I can once again just tap an exercise and start exercising? This was the way previous versions worked, and it was much more convenient. Thank you!

@Mdenboer   I wasn't aware that the previous firmware retained your previous goal.  This is a useful feature if you have a set routine.  So I understand your frustration.

The way to make your opinion known about something like this is to start a Feature Suggestion asking for its return.

Thanks for your note. Well, the previous version didn't have a goal setting
at all - it just recorded the exercise you actually did. Retaining the
previous goal would be an improvement. I'll post that in the Feature
Suggestion
