Hello, this morning I woke up to a large white line vertically across my versa’s screen. I tried to troubleshoot the problem on my own by turning the device on and off, changing clock faces, and performing a factory reset. However, it is still there. I’ve only had it since Christmas so I don’t think the issue is age or something related, and it has never sustained any type of damage. Everything else is working fine. I’ll attach a photo of the problem if possible.

Try a Restart and do it several times if necessary.

Hi, thank you for trying to help! However, I tried it several times and the line is still there.

Try a Factory Reset by swiping left to Settings and then About, Factory Reset.

Hi.. It was never resolved and that watch is completely dead now. I've decided to buy GARMIN Forerunner 45S and I've never been this happy... No more Fitbit for me.

I had the same thing.
they said no solution after working on many tech support solutions.

basically they said there’s no way to fix it and they offered me 35% off of a new device but this one didn’t even last 18 months.

Thank you for joining the thread and sharing your experience. I understand how you are feeling about this situation. I am sure our Support team tried their best to help you, each case is reviewed individually and a solution that's being provided is based on the Fitbit Warranty. Given what I've researched, this doesn't seem to be an infrequent problem.  It reflects poorly on the quality and durability of the FitBit product.

The 35% off offer is rather insulting.  Especially so, since that is the regular discount on the Versa 2 at this point in time (and the product defect discount does not work when the product is already discounted).

I'll be looking for alternatives.

Did you get a replacement before?

I never did.  Just gave up on the watch.

May get a more reliable brand later.

After calling in and chatting in the watch ended up crashing and not working at all within the next 30 days.

Decided to go to Apple.... think it will last me a lot longer. I didn't even get 18 months out of the Versa 2 and it didn't have any scratches, etc. I took care of it. Another friend said she is on her 5th fitbit... so I didn't want to buy one every 18 mo. I wanted something that lasts longer.

I have the same thing with my Versa 2 only the bright white vertical line is on the left-hand side rather than the right. I could not find a solution and so, reluctantly,I have replaced it with an Apple Watch.

The Versa 2 lasted less than two years – it was given to me as a birthday present in March 2020. That was a replacement for a Pebble Time Steel watch which lasted five years.

i have the same vertical line. As much as I love Fitbit, I’m tired of the poor quality of the product.

That is the exact line that mine has. It just showed up a few minutes ago and nothing is taking it off.  😞

I have had mine for 17 months and woke up 2 days ago with that lovely white line. Talked to support and did a factory reset, changed my clock face, did everything they suggested and nada. Line is still there. This infuriates me, as it was not entirely "cheap" at the time. I won't buy another fitbit product. I switched to the Samsung Galaxy Watch. Hopefully that will last longer than this piece of crap did.
