Ok bit a back story but im very overweight. I wont say how much because im ashamed.
Ive had tests on my heart, 1 echo and 2 ECG monitors.
My concern is when walking normally around a shopping center my HR gets upto 115-125.
It takes ages to come down if im walking for say over 15 mins. Bare in mind i am super unfit. For example today i walked at a brisk pace for about 15 mins with a HR of 127. It took a min or so to drop to 99/100 then about 20 mins to come back down to 85. My usual HR.
Im worried because even though the doctors have said my heart is fine im wondering if this recovery is abnormal or just due to me being very overweight?
I've bought gym stuff today and signed upto the gym and im dying to start but scared of my pathetic recovery rate.

If you have had the tests and the doctor says your heart is fine, trust them.
As for heart rate recovery, what is usually measure is the heart rate drop in first minute after exercise. Dropping from 127 to 100 seems no cause for concern.
If you google "heart rate recovery", you will find articles saying a drop of less that 12 beats per minute in first minute after exercise is cause for concern.
