Have you checked the settings on your watch to make sure the vibration is set to STRONG then hold down the button on your watch for a few seconds, the notification settings should appear make sure that is turned on as well.

sorry couldn’t find your original post to see what you have done but just wanted to know have you done these steps:

turn off Bluetooth

Delete your Fitbit from the Fitbit app

delete the Fitbit app

restart your phone

add the Fitbit app back and

Re sync your watch and reset up to the app. Once the watch is synced to the app hold the button and n the watch to display the notification, also check the settings on the watch to make sure the vibration is on.

I had to add remove everything and reset my watch up and it finally worked for me.

I was also simply not having the Versa vibrate when a notification would come through. All notifications were on the Versa (as long as I looked for them), just no vibration alerting me. I would, though, get the vibration when a phone call would come through, just not with text messages or app notifications. I tried all the basic/non-intrusive stuff, like simply Forget This Device in bluetooth settings, etc. But, here is what did work for me.

I simply removed the Versa from the Fitbit app, and then added it back in. Aaaaaaand the vibrations returned (for now anyway...we'll see if it lasts). Of course, the sucky part is, is that now all the apps that I added are no longer there, and it's a "process" to add them back. While this sucks, at least it is working correctly. Phone call notification works, app notification works, text and calendar notification works...including the vibration alert on Versa for all notifications.

I do have the latest Fitbit app, the most recent Versa firmware, and the latest iOS 13.1.2 on my iPhone SE.

Hope this helps!

When I recently updated my fibit the left side button for quick settings  changed. I know you can change it in settings but there is no option for Turing vibration on/off for messages anymore. I still receive my notifications but it will not vibrate when I get them. I have checked all my setting, set an alarm so I know both my vibrate and notifications work just not together

After the latest firmware, vibrates for phone, but no vibration notifications. The notifications are there though.

**ahem** annoying. Will try and re-add it back in.

Yes! Thanks so much, this just fixed mine! I have a 3 year old who likes to press all the buttons on my watch so she’d switched off notifications and screen wake, which was driving me crazy! Now I know how to fix it 🙂

Hello,

I had the same issue after I downloaded the most recent fitbit update. I was receiving my messages and notification, but my fitbit was not vibrating. Both my fitbit and phone had the notification on/vibrating option on and it still was not working for me. I was able to fix the issue by unpairing my fitbit device from my phone and unpairing my device from my fitbit app. Once I paired them back on, it worked.

Thanks! Your solution actually worked for me.   Previously I had done all the steps off unpairing bluetooth and deleting the bluetooth app but that didn't work.   After I removed my fitbit device from inside the fitbit app and then added it back, I now get texts on my watch again.

I have the same problem, no vibrations on incoming calls 😕 this has been going for some time now, probably after last update 😞

Any idea how to fix it?

Hello,
Try deleting your device from the fitbit app and from your phone's bluetooth. Restart your fit but and phone and then connect together.

I ended up deleting the fitbit device from the fitbit app and then adding it back.

Was having the same issue with Fitbit Versa and android phone - vibrations not working for texts, but working for phone calls and other notifications.  I simply removed my Versa from my fitbit app and then reinstalled it.  Text vibrations now working again - for now anyways. 🙂

Hi, mine stopped vibrating when I had to do a full phone reset (iPhone 7). Your suggested testing the timer, but I cannot did that. Thanks

I had this very problem. Turns out I had on Sleep Mode and a/or Do Not Disturb mode which silences the notifications and calls. I had turned it onto Sleep mode for the night but realize that it doesn't automatically shut off. I clicked on each and made sure each was set to off and now i get vibrations when someone calls/texts. Hope this helps!

Noticed I am having the same problem today. Has there been a fix to this issue?

Hi, if vibrate is turned on in settings, I would re-start both your iphone and Fitbit . Then try again.

You may have to check how to do this if you have not done it before, just Google it. Cheers Mick
