Volume won't go up or down on Versa itself

I have loaded my music onto the versa!  However I am unable to turn up or down the volume.  It appears as if there are the + - buttons on the right hand side.  When I pressed those buttons, nothing happened.  Should I try restarting my fitbit?  Ultimately I would like to control the volume of the music from the fitbit versa when using my earbuds.

I finally figured out that I don't press the buttons on the side! I tap the icon for + or - on the screen to adjust volume - duh! I feel so silly!

This worked with the alternative headphones (actually either way is good) the problem I had was finding headphones which are compatible.  I did find some but they can still be difficult to reliably pair.  Can be rather frustrating

Over a year now +no fix in sight!? This is bull. My earbuds are so loud I have them on my desk +they are crystal clear. I wore them for a minute whilst trying to change the volume +my ears are ringing +I have a headache! This is unacceptable. It shouldn’t take this long to fix! Fitbit lift your game!

Is there already an update? This is a bad joke that the best-selling Bluetooth headphones in the world don't work properly?!????!??
With the request for immediate repair. It can not be that the whole community has to wait so long for a small bugfix, so that you can control the volume!

This is still a problem that I've been dealing with for 3 years now. I'll wear only one apple earbud at a time otherwise the music is too piercing. I've read on another thread there is an OS update that apparently fixed it but no matter what I do I can't get it update to that version.   Really Fitbit!?! Really!??

Brilliant after reading how to control the volumne whilst using bluetooth headphones it's actually  worked...

I go into the Music icon on my watch and after pairing my headphones I choose a track to play...Above the actually track there is a small + and at the bottom of screen is a -

These are all you need to increase or decrease volumne  by gently tapping each one...By jove it works!

Thankyou

I have Versa too.. Once my bluetooth headphones are on and music is playing from the watch itself..

Whatever track is playing on watch you will see a + sign at top of watch screen and a - sign on bottom of watch screen..Lightly tap each one to increase or decrease volume.

I hope this works for you

Is there a way to increase the overall volume? When I first paired my Airpods with my Versa 2, I thought the volume icons were not working at all. However, now I can tell that the loudest the volume will go just isn't very loud  -- that's why I thought the volume wasn't changing -- I was only trying to increase it and it seems to be at the "top end."

Is there a way I can "reset" the volume so that I can make it increase enough to be heard outside?

Still A Problem.

No It won't. We're Not Stupid and It's Common Logic to Use Those Buttons.  It Simply Won't Work When We Pressed IT.

No, that doesn't work.

Just got my Versa 2. Uploaded a playlist. Cannot control the volume with the plus and minus signs. Using Toshiba bluetooth headphones not earbuds. What a disappointment,

What an oversight in development. Outside of “immediate future” must mean more than two years. Its been nothing but problems with no support since I bought it. Anybody want to buy a virus? I mean, versa?

Bought skullcandy Bluetooth headphones and the volume + or - doesn’t work either on Fitbit. What a price of **ahem** brand. I really tried to like Fitbit but once it breaks (which I’m sure soon) I’m buying an Apple Watch.

It's been almost two years since this post, when will support be fixed?

I gave up and ended up buying an Apple Watch. No problems with volume control even with non-Apple earphones/buds. Also, music loads more easily onto it than with the Versa.

My wife's Versa died, for the second time, a couple weeks ago.  Mine also died once, with the same "sudden low battery" issue.  Initially I thought it was a coincidence but when it happened the second time I was sure it was a design flaw.  Anyhow, this time I just lost it, went to the Apple store and bought two 44mm Aluminum Apple Watches Series 5.  Yes, they are more expensive, but they are basically perfect and reliable.  Good bye, Fitbit.  I wanted to love you for the past 3 years, but it didn't work out.

Good luck, everyone.

I even googled which ear pods where the best to use with the Fitbit Versa and it recommends the Apple Air Pods. So I've just purchased a pair and have put my music on my Versa, only to find that I cannot listen to it because it will burst an ear drum!!!! The volume buttons on the Versa, the + and the -, do not control the volume of the Air Pods at all, there is only one volume and that is dangerously  LOUD!!!  I have tried all the troubleshooting recommendations, unpairing, restarting, pairing, nothing works! Fitbit you should be ashamed, misleading people to spend their money on expensive products for them not to work. My son's cheap fake ear pods at £15.00 even work properly, just a shame the sound quality is shocking! Will be seriously considering updating to an Apple watch so that I can at least use my Air Pods for the job intended!

JemmyB, that's what I tried with, Apple Air Pods.

My love affair with Fitbit didn't work out in the end.

I didn't leave Fitbit, Fitbit left me, a long time ago.

But my new love arrives tomorrow.  Yippee!

I bet they had been struggling for some time since Google acquired them at the end of last year.

I did the same thing. Very disappointed and it has been over 2 years since this was reported. My goodness.
