Walk vs Jog calories

I'm a little confused, I normally walk 9 km taking about 84 mins and burn roughly 1300 calories. My pace is about 11 mins per km and I set my versa to track manual walking. The last few days today particularly I have been walking/jogging at a pace of about 8 mins per km. It took me 72 mins roughly to do 10km and I'm only burning 1000 calories using track manual walking. Why am I burning less calories while jogging/walking a longer distance at a faster pace than walking for longer at a shorter distance at a slower pace?

@Zadermac Can you please post the screenshots of your heartrate recording during those exercises?

@Zadermac Since the distance is the same (around 9 km), the time will be the most contributing factor here. By keeping slower but steady pace you managed to increase the time by 75% (45 min). That's probably why you see such difference. Another thing is you are comparing two different types of exercises - walk vs run. Nevertheless, 1200 kcal for 1h45min walk is a bit much. Of course, it all depends on your body measurements, age and gender as well. Just in case, you can reboot the tracker several times (press and hold the left and bottom right buttons until fitbit logo appears) and keep an eye on the stats for the next several workouts.
