Walking in pool, steps not accurate Versa

Walked in the pool today for 1 1/2 hours.  I swung my arms like I was walking outside.  My Versa only registered a little over 300 stemps.   Imposible.  I hate to say this but I do not like my new Versa.  I would get rid of it but it was a gift.  Thank You

@Jackieboy ahmmm I would say the credit goes to your Versa that it actually didn't get fooled... You were not walking. Swimming is not a step-based exercise even if you think you're waving your hands like you were walking. You should not be credited with many steps at all.

Also I would add that any wrist based tracker would behave in a similar nature. As @Marrrmaduke mentions they are not designed to count steps in this way, the water will be absorbing a lot of the vibrations (steps) from your feet before the tracker on your wrist can detect anything.
