I want to see steps and distance for my walks (over 10 min) automatically. I don't want to go through the process of doing it manually as I will forget to press the stop button.

@m_d_m and you should be able to. Are you saying your tracker is not recognizing the walks?

@m_d_m yes. Thats how it works:
- the tracker recognizes you're walking and records the raw data
- the tracker is feeding the recorded data to Fitbit servers via Fitbit mobile app during syncing
- calcations on raw data provided by the tracker are done on Fitbit servers and then the workout stats are synced back to Fitbit mobile app
- Fitbit app syncs the workout data back to Versa for display in its Today app (swipe up to open and scroll down to workouts).
Note: this requires a bit of time for syncing back and forth and calculations. It might take 20 min or so depending how well your Versa syncs. U can speed up the process by opening Fitbit app and syncing manually several times (tap on versa icon, scroll down to sync and tap).

If i dont set it and let a walk get picked up auto, it always logs it as Elliptical. No idea why

@m_d_m Please go to your Fitbit mobile app or Dashboard on Fitbit.com and check if all data is there. If the walk was auto-recognized in the first place and if all stats are there. It is probable that data does not get synced back to Versa. This is known issue with Today app.
@Quaz Go to Fitbit.com, click on Settings (gear cog icon), then Versa, scroll down to Auto-Exercise Recognition, scroll down to Elliptical and choose Ignore. Sync your tracker.
