Want to change from Charge 2 to Versa 2.

I just got a new Versa 2.  I previously had a Charge 2.  My Fitbit app "sees" the Charge 2.  How can I switch it so that it works with the Versa 2?  Also, I'm not sure it's charging.  The battery seems to stay at the same level and I never can see the percentage after tapping on the face of the watch.

I'm assuming you want to switch completely to the Versa 2, not use both trackers, right?

First make sure you have done a successful sync from the Charge 2 to get all your data transferred from the tracker to the Fitbit servers.

Then, logged  into the same Fitbit account/email, go to 'Set up a Device' (on phone app, tap profile pic at top left to get to 'Account' page, then scroll down).  Tap 'set up a device' and follow instructions to set up Versa 2.  It will probably note you have a Charge 2 set up and ask if you want to replace - yes; then follow rest of instructions.

Then in phone settings, go to bluetooth settings to see if Charge 2 is still paired.  I think previous step will have unpaired it, but if not, unpair it there in phone settings.

Then you're good to go.

Your data will go into same account seamlessly with data from older Charge 2.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
