Warranty Dissatisfaction

I activated my new fitbit in January. Upgraded to a Versa lite. Its been used for literally 6 months and stopped tracking my Heart rate, sleep and calories burned. The fix solutions did not work and I was offered a discount on purchasing a new one. How is this a warranty when the product stopped working?? And what are the chance this will just happen to a new purchase??
