I'm SO frustrated. Despite turning watch on and off and doing the other tips as suggested, my watch REGULARLY does not record to GPS and does not sync to Strava. I'm presently looking for a Garmin watch as I'm told this is the most suitable, reliable watch for runners. Please advise. Will there be any updates to rectify these problems or have you any other suggestions. I already carry my phone, turn off Wi-Fi, turn watch on and off prior to recording a session

This has been happening to me as well. My watch is only 6 months old and it is so frustrating. I've reported it to FitBit about 3 days ago and still not heard anything.

So annoying. I tried to comment on your post but it says it's an accepted solution. It's not!! Not happy. Thanks for response

We first need to look at why the GPS is not being recorded. Gps is needed to sync to Strava.
Without knowing which phone, it is hard to help.

Since it is an Android phone, are you receiving notifications on the wrist?
Do you have battery management disabled for the Fitbit app and sleep while in background disabled.
