After installing the latest firmware update, whenever I log 8 oz. on my watch, it syncs to my mobile device as 0.27 oz. Moreover, when I log 4 oz. and 12 oz., it syncs as 0.14 oz. and 0.41 oz., respectively. There's definitely a bug in there!

So many angry angry people on this board, wowza. Sure it's odd that I have to enter in 474 to log my usual 16oz of intake, but I much prefer tapping one extra digit on my watch than pestering these poor moderators and support reps endlessly

Thank you for the voice of reason. I subscribed to this thread to be notified of when the issue is fixed. I didn't realize that it would be bombarded with such anger. Hopefully, the developers had some time off for the holidays with their families, and maybe they had more urgent items to tend to even when they got back. It'd be great to have the issue fixed, but I'm still loving my device while modifying my mode of entering information.

Not sure how long this problem has existed, but since it is so straighforward and seems to extend ot weight, I hope they roll out a firmware fix soon

Hopefuly with Google buying them things will get better, but my expectations is that there will be a major focus on integrating into Google systems and we won't see fixes till that is done.

@GeoffLinn You are exactly correct. People aren't just "ungrateful" and angry, they are 100%, within their right, reasonably frustrated that they've purchased a $200 product that isn't delivering on the most basic of functionality.
I count myself amongst this group. I've had nothing but issues since my wife bought me the Versa 2 for my birthday in October. I went to customer support after trying every possible avenue for fixing the issues I was having (which involved the water not tracking correctly, notifications not coming through regularly, and syncing issues) and was told I'd get sent a new device. This all happened on 12/17/19. Fitbit customer support couldn't even do that right, as they sent me a replacement Versa, not a Versa 2. I had to go back and forth with them before they actually sent me the correct replacement, which I just got yesterday.
Sure enough, as soon as I set it up, it's having issues with syncing and the water tracking, which before was tracking incorrectly (i.e. I'd type 8 oz. and it'd log 0.12 oz.) to now not syncing or tracking at all from watch to app.
Although I understand that software issues may be a challenge to resolve, this is an overwhelming majority of customers experiencing issues that quite frankly make the device a glorified digital watch...certainly not worth the $200 price point.
I'd appreciate it if at the least Fitbit would be open and transparent about what is going on, where they are on a fix, and keep us in the loop for an ETA on software updates. Instead, all we are getting is moderators telling us they are aware of the issue and then complete radio silence. It's pretty ridiculous coming from such a big company as Fitbit (which was recently bought by Google no less).
So yea, I think all of us frustrated here are beyond justified in said frustrations.

I have to agree,
I had not realized how long this had been going on.
While I know how the software development and Q/A process works, there is no reason for it to take this long.
my gut says that they have stopped most development pending the Google acquisition, and refocusing on integrating into Google ware and health.

Thanks for this. I didn't understand the post that had issues with our complaints and frustrations. I don't understand how anyone would be willing to pay any amount of money for something and not have an issue with it when it doesn't work as expected/advertised/designed. As you said, I would be much more understanding of Fitbit as a company came out honestly about this but I can also understand that they are not going to because, like many of us who expected a product that does what it's supposed to, many would simply not purchase it and they would take a hot hard in the ole pocketbook. Can't let that happen.

I’m considering returning my versa 2 now since it seems this simple issue has been unresolved for a while and may stay unresolved indefinitely according to the Fitbit rep I spoke with on the phone today. This definitely doesn’t encourage me to buy more units for my 3 kids and husband.

Theres an app called ionic water that logs my water intake and keeps track of it with the app. Until the problem is fixed, that app is a good solution for now.

The mobile aps on my iPad and my Pixel phone BOTH work fine for logging water and weight. The units are consistent and move over to my Versa2 just fine.
The only issue is when I log water on the Versa2 and it transfers to other devices.
So logging water and weight on my phone or ipad apps is also a good "work around". Just a frustrating reminder of the poor customer service at FitBit. But you really don't need a second app.

I’m sorry but this topic should not be marked as answered. If we need to use our smart phone apps to correctly enter the data, then the purpose of the Fitbit is defeated. It is a great device but these bugs are annoying.

How is this an answer? I am also having this issue. A $200 device intended to track habits to encourage a healthy lifestyle that doesn’t properly track habits that encourage a healthy lifestyle. What kind of business model is that?

My Versa 2 has a similar issue. When I log 8 oz of water, it logs it as 0.3 fl oz. It's very frustrating to me since logging water directly on the watch is an important feature for me.
