Water hitting screen from shower nozzle activates screen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

As the title says, this routinely occurs while I'm in the shower wearing my Versa.  I've had to delete or correct several alarms and recorded exercises because the water hitting the screen activates the display and causes the watch to navigate through the various menus.  I know there's a feature suggestion to be able to lock the screen/buttons in the forums already.  Please implement it.  5 rapid, consecutive button presses should lock/unlock the screen or something.

@Caz29 it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! By the way, I'm sorry for the late response. However, I'm sorry about the difficulties you experience with your Versa while taking a shower. I totally understand how you feel about this.

Your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated since this helps us to keep improving.

I'll be around if any question arises.

@Caz29 there is a silly workaround. Looks like there's only one exercise with screen/touch lock implemented - Swim. When you shower starts tracking swim and later delete it. At least, you know nothing random will happen when water splashes onto the screen. I don't know why Fitbit implemented that feature only for the Swim when the whole watch suffers this issue but I wouldn't expect any changes in that matter anytime soon. My Ionic used to do crazy stuff when interacting with water. Showering wasn't the only one. Rain could cause random interactions, too.
