Fitbit Update: 12/18/19
Hi everyone,
When this thread started earlier this year, the issue was that waterlogging on the watch was not syncing over to the Fitbit app. No matter what you would log, it just wouldn't show up in the Fitbit app and didn't sync the information over.
Now, we're seeing reports that waterlogging is syncing over, but it is the wrong amount of water that was logged onto the watch. To keep threads organized and on-topic, I'm now going to close this thread and move the conversation here: Water Logging syncs incorrect amount to app.I've already merged some posts from this thread into that one.
If you're experiencing this new issue after updating to Fitbit OS 4.1, follow that thread for updates.

Updating my previous reply..
iPhone 6 running on iOS 12.1.2
Fitbit Versa Firmware version 32.33.1.30
Fitbit App version 2.84 (807)
Also.. wondering a bit about which systems, phones and/or app versions the water sync feature was originally tested on before the 3.0 firmware was initially released? (because I'm guessing that it must have worked at least fairly well on some setups.. yes, no?)

@TC123 Hey, there! I noticed you're using an iPhone. For the time being, our recommended workaround is to try force quitting the Fitbit app then open it again and see if the water you just logged shows up. This works for iPhone only, so please give it a try!
@SunsetRunner @VolcanicGlass @GordonCole @ABK2445 For everyone else, thanks so much for sending me your Android device info. I've forwarded this information and hopefully, it helps this investigation. When I receive any updates, I will let you all know in this thread. Thanks again for your help and cooperation!

Tried doing the suggested force quite a couple times, followed by a new sync when the Fitbit app is reopened, but still, I'm not seeing any of the recently added water entries on my iPhone App (also tried it the other way, by adding some water directly via the iPhone app, then force quitting, and resyncing with the Versa, but those added iPhone water entries are still not appearing on the Versa).

@AlessFitbitCurious to know if you might have any insights as to why the water logging on the 3.0 Today screen does not seem to show a simple grand total of water for a single day? (which would be based on whatever a user had logged via their tracker throughout that whole day).
Like, if someone added 8 ounces at 3 pm, then another 8 ounces at 6 pm, It would seem as though the Versa should be showing that a total of 16 ounces of water had been entered for that particular day.
But instead (at least as is on my Versa), what I see when I swipe left, is a screen that appears to show some overall daily average of water which has been added over the course of a week, rather than for that specific day. Leaving me wondering how can we precisely then tell just exactly how much water we actually consumed on any given day?

Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app, restarted my watch and restarted my phone, and though it counted all prior water entries from other days as though it had been ent today, it appears to now be working. I'm hoping tomorrow it will start logging it properly since it's caught up.
Update 1/1/19 - this seemed like it was a one-time occurrence after reinstalling the Fitbit App. It worked only one time then stopped. 😞

@TC123 What you are describing as how the water logging SHOULD work is exactly how it DOES work for me. I had to uninstall the Fitbit app, restart my phone, restart my Versa and reinstall the app and then it worked perfectly.
When I log the water it initially says "X oz logged at X:XX pm". Then if I sync with my phone, the message changes to the total volume I have logged for the day. A sideways swipe gives me a weekly average. Stays like that until I log again. Rinse and Repeat.

@kcronin@AlessFitbit Well thankfully, I finally saw a little bit of success with the Water part of my Versa's Today screen.
First I did an uninstall of the Fitbit app, then a restart of both my iPhone, and my Versa.. and then of course, another reinstall of the Fitbit app.. AND FINALLY, a forced quit of the newly install Fitbit app (lol, not too many hoops to jump through), BUT.. "YES" - it does now appear that my "Water is finally Working" (although, it's still quite a bit quirky, in that, sometimes it works ok, but more often, it doesn't)
Many thanks for the suggestions from everyone!

My fitbit versa is also not syncing the water I am logging between iphone and watch. My watch screen is stuck on the last water log I did and will not show me my total and my app screen shows a wrong number.
I have a fitbit versa running version 33.1.30 on an iphone running the OS version12.1.2 (16C101)
I have deleted the app off my phone, restarted phone and fitbit, re installed the app and re synced many times and still no fix.

@AlessFitbit Yeah, no, now that I followed today's thread conversation, I'm still part of the troubled crowd. I found out mine did sync overnight and the other logs work now, but the water log still doesn't work throughout today, which sucks since I forget the total throughout the day. Notably, when I log the water, it shows "X fl oz. logged at X:XX" instead of going away as a total. And of course, the dashboard isn't receiving the entries.. yet.
Deleting, restarting, resyncing are not helping.

I am having the same issue described by everyone else when logging my water intake. the phone I have is a Moto z2 play OS Android 8.0.0. versa version 32.33.1.30

The water logging on the versa with the new IOS does not seem to be working. I can log water on my watch but it does not show up in the fitbit app, nor does it show up on day to day log on the watch itself. I will only see that log for the day, then it dissappears after. The only time it works is if I log it in the app. Has anyone had this problem? I've tried restarting my watch several times and my app is up to date.
