Fitbit Update: 12/18/19

Hi everyone,

When this thread started earlier this year, the issue was that waterlogging on the watch was not syncing over to the Fitbit app. No matter what you would log, it just wouldn't show up in the Fitbit app and didn't sync the information over.

Now, we're seeing reports that waterlogging is syncing over, but it is the wrong amount of water that was logged onto the watch. To keep threads organized and on-topic, I'm now going to close this thread and move the conversation here: Water Logging syncs incorrect amount to app.I've already merged some posts from this thread into that one.

If you're experiencing this new issue after updating to Fitbit OS 4.1, follow that thread for updates.

Fitbit Update: 2/7/19

Hi everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience while our team continues to investigate these reports with water logging issues. If you haven't yet tried some troubleshooting steps, I'd recommend the following:

  • Sync your Versa with your mobile device
  • Force quit and then restart the Fitbit app
  • Restart Today app on Versa and wait at least a minute

I'll keep you updated, so please stay tuned!

I'm having the same issue with the water and also weight. Went to work out my average weight loss from the week to find not a single day of data had been logged to the app!

The water, usually syncs and continues to episodically not be available on
the watch. I don't look at the weight, so I'm not sure if they are
connected issues.

I understand nothing is perfect. But if something isn't right I do expect an effort to take care of the problem. When I  called them on the phone it's like they never heard of the problem. Although it was a waste of time I got the impression they would check it out after I told them there were a bunch of people on this forum with the same problem.Sent from my Galaxy Tab® A

Yeah, just got the Versa and thought awesome, logging water on the watch will be so much better than the Charge 3 and then, yeah, it doesn't work because it doesn't show up in the app.  Doh!  Not great.  Hopefully they fix this asap.

I am having this issue as well. It is rather frustrating that it seems to have been an issue for almost 2 months and no resolution. I just purchased the versa 2 weeks ago and my versa also will not "all day sync" the only way I can get the app to show my steps is by manually going into the app and syncing it. I have restarted my watch, disconnected from blutooth, installed and uninstalled the app and nothing works. I am really considering returning it and getting a different brand or just keeping my old one. There are too many issues with the watch.

Hey guys, @TheIgster@Dew1500 and @AlexisMann14, I hope you are doin' fine! I'd like you to make sure that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app installed on your phone. Also, I'd like you to try the following:

  1. Manually sync the device.
  2. Force quit the mobile app
  3. Restart app on tracker & wait at least a minute

Let me know if that works!

Nope. Did not work. Latest version on the software and I logged out and back in again. Did a sync and nothing showed up.

I have tried that a few times and it has not been successful. It will not sync anything I’ve physically entered in my Versa, into the app.
