Fitbit Update: 12/18/19

Hi everyone,

When this thread started earlier this year, the issue was that waterlogging on the watch was not syncing over to the Fitbit app. No matter what you would log, it just wouldn't show up in the Fitbit app and didn't sync the information over.

Now, we're seeing reports that waterlogging is syncing over, but it is the wrong amount of water that was logged onto the watch. To keep threads organized and on-topic, I'm now going to close this thread and move the conversation here: Water Logging syncs incorrect amount to app.I've already merged some posts from this thread into that one.

If you're experiencing this new issue after updating to Fitbit OS 4.1, follow that thread for updates.

Fitbit Update: 2/7/19

Hi everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience while our team continues to investigate these reports with water logging issues. If you haven't yet tried some troubleshooting steps, I'd recommend the following:

  • Sync your Versa with your mobile device
  • Force quit and then restart the Fitbit app
  • Restart Today app on Versa and wait at least a minute

I'll keep you updated, so please stay tuned!

Fitbit Update: 1/24/19

Hey Versa Fam!

Our team is still investigating these reports for water logs not syncing over to the Fitbit app after logging them on your watch. We appreciate your reports and feedback.

If I receive any new information, I will update this thread so please stay subscribed. Thank you!

I agree.  I've been patiently waiting weeks for a fix and all we get are redundant platitudes.  In a world increasingly dominated by software, how difficult is it to have a team fix this particular bug on their latest and greatest device?

There seems to be no real effort. Just a bunch of try this and try that. My suggestion would be for them to open a new one try it themselves. It's not my job to be the guinny pig and find out what works. It's not user error! It's a hardware or software problem. Don't give me a run around. Just figure it out and fix the problem.Sent from my Galaxy Tab® A

There is a YouTube site called Vid's Tube where the guy has about 40 videos
specific to the Versa. I have alerted him to this and another problem with
the Versa so watchers can be informed about the problem and the slow/no fix
from Fitbit.

Been told since last year it would be fixed and still no solution. As mentioned previously, I want to be able to track my water on my watch and have a total an transfer to my app. This is so frustrating and disappointing

I just recently had this issue surface (in fact, it just started yesterday, 2/18/19). This is the way I've been tracking my water and I've tried everything from shutting down my Versa, restarting the app, etc. Is there any update on this?

The Fitbit Android app got an update today, but it didn't fix the issue with water sync. Honestly what are you doing ? After 6 weeks of investigation what you got ??

They did an update for the iOS version of the App today as well.  It "kinda" worked for a few tests, but has quit after an hour or so after the update.  Back to not syncing.

@SunsetRunner , @Falcon50  and @SunsetRunner , I hope you are doin' fine guys! I have no updates yet about this inconvenience with the water logged not appearing on the app. I appreciate you have made sure that your phone and the Fitbit app are updated, since these are requirements to use this feature. As soon as I have news, I'll post them here. In the meantime, I will appreciate your patience into this.

I did factory reset because I had some other problems with touch to wake.

I'm  tired of trying the same old troubleshooting steps. I'm actually getting quite irritated and disgusted with Fitbit about this issue and would suggest that instead of telling us every few days that you'll let us know when something is done to Give us an estimate of when it'll be fixed and When some tech support will actually START working on the problem.... Or, be honest and say that you don't plan on fixing this issue at any time in the near future, since it only affects those of us who have already purchased the Versa.

The water logging in my versa is not working still. I can enter the amount but will not sync with my phone and wont even show the amount in my watch. The water logging screen is showing "xxx fl oz logged at yyy pm" forever. It was working two days ago although a bit unstable but since yeasterday it has been like this.

My husband and I are both experiencing the same exact issue. I have the Google Pixel 3 XL with Android 9 running, and he has the Google Pixel 3 with I believe Android 9 as well.
