Fitbit Update: 12/18/19

Hi everyone,

When this thread started earlier this year, the issue was that waterlogging on the watch was not syncing over to the Fitbit app. No matter what you would log, it just wouldn't show up in the Fitbit app and didn't sync the information over.

Now, we're seeing reports that waterlogging is syncing over, but it is the wrong amount of water that was logged onto the watch. To keep threads organized and on-topic, I'm now going to close this thread and move the conversation here: Water Logging syncs incorrect amount to app.I've already merged some posts from this thread into that one.

If you're experiencing this new issue after updating to Fitbit OS 4.1, follow that thread for updates.

Fitbit Update: 2/7/19

Hi everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience while our team continues to investigate these reports with water logging issues. If you haven't yet tried some troubleshooting steps, I'd recommend the following:

  • Sync your Versa with your mobile device
  • Force quit and then restart the Fitbit app
  • Restart Today app on Versa and wait at least a minute

I'll keep you updated, so please stay tuned!

Fitbit Update: 1/24/19

Hey Versa Fam!

Our team is still investigating these reports for water logs not syncing over to the Fitbit app after logging them on your watch. We appreciate your reports and feedback.

If I receive any new information, I will update this thread so please stay subscribed. Thank you!

I tried the recommended steps, and the water logged on my watch still doesn't show in the Fitbit app.   If I log water from the Fitbit app, it doesn't show in my watch.

Same here, I've tried all the recommended steps and it's not changing
anything.

Yep, I have the same issue.

Unfortunately, I think that this is part of the update... either that, or you may need to update your Fitbit(that is, sync it)

Take care.

This workaround doesn’t work. None of the workarounds work. This watch isn’t worth the investment, and I will tell all of my friends that many, many times until you guys get this fixed. It’s not that hard to transmit a simple number through bluetooth.

Your weight doesn't transfer and water doesn't transfer

How do you restart Today app on the Versa?

You should check with Fitbit. I'm just another dissatisfied customer

I have tried doing all the suggestions about synchronizing my versa and phone app and nothing is working. It is very frustrating to track the water intake on the watch and nothing shows up on the app. Any update on when this will be fixed?

Best Answer

I tried restarting phone and watch AGAIN. Now it transfers water intake entered on watch to the computer app (twice as much as I entered) but still nothing on the phone app. I don't believe Fitbit is even working on this issue. Look at how long this problem has been going on. I wish I would have known about all these issues before getting the watch. But this water problem so far has been the biggest aggravation. FIXIT FITBIT!!!

Do you have a timeframe for when this bug will be fixed?  It is very disappointing to have this continue to be an issue.  Many people are commenting it is an issue for them, so I would think this needs to be moved to a high priority fix.

I'm having the same issue. Tried all the above options and nothing has worked. Brand new versa as of last week

I'm just another disgruntled user like you and suspect it'll never be fixed

Mine is synced and working as of 5 minutes ago. It was not this morning. Maybe try to update/sync phone.

Should've gone with a Garmin.  This issue was first reported in 2018 and we're cruising right along through 2019. Don't hold your breath!

Hi @JMay23, welcome to the Community Forums! Nice to see you around @Karona218 , @Azred78@Fitlark@DeborahFan@PadgettFarm@Birderer and @AlexisMann14.

Thanks for the details on your posts and for the steps that you've tried to solve this. Sorry to hear that you can't see your previous water/weight logs. This shouldn't be happening but we understand this is a new feature and we're still getting feedback about it.

Would you mind trying the following steps:

  1. Update the Today app in the app gallery
  2. Force close the Fitbit app and
  3. Log your water/weight one more time
  4. Sync your data

In some cases, you will have to delete the first log after the troubleshooting steps. But after doing so, it should be working just fine, all your weight/water information should be updated in the Fitbit app.

Keep me posted.

Been there done that. In fact I have done that several times. At this point my versa is just a watch that counts my steps

I agree. I'm just having trouble accepting the $ loss. I could have gotten
a much cheaper watch that showed my heart rate.
