Fitbit Update: 12/18/19

Hi everyone,

When this thread started earlier this year, the issue was that waterlogging on the watch was not syncing over to the Fitbit app. No matter what you would log, it just wouldn't show up in the Fitbit app and didn't sync the information over.

Now, we're seeing reports that waterlogging is syncing over, but it is the wrong amount of water that was logged onto the watch. To keep threads organized and on-topic, I'm now going to close this thread and move the conversation here: Water Logging syncs incorrect amount to app.I've already merged some posts from this thread into that one.

If you're experiencing this new issue after updating to Fitbit OS 4.1, follow that thread for updates.

Fitbit Update: 2/7/19

Hi everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience while our team continues to investigate these reports with water logging issues. If you haven't yet tried some troubleshooting steps, I'd recommend the following:

  • Sync your Versa with your mobile device
  • Force quit and then restart the Fitbit app
  • Restart Today app on Versa and wait at least a minute

I'll keep you updated, so please stay tuned!

Has there been any fix to this yet? I just got my versa and the same thing is happening. It is not logging the water I track from my watch to my phone.

It shouldn't even take a month to fix this bug. It sounds like such an easy thing to fix.

@Jisma agree 110%.

@Kayla101rose nope...and there probably won't ever be a fix. Fitbit has promised to fix this issue. That was 7 months ago.

It does update from the versa to fitbit app  but it does not update straight away after syncing. You have to wait for a while then it will update on the app.

I waited all day and it still stayed the same just said what time I logged the last amount didn’t even show the total. But it works when I log it on my phone 🤷🏼‍:female_sign:

But for me it does update after a while but not straight away though. I noticed that it does update immediately if I input the data into my app instead of the versa.

Forgive me in advance Fitbit community members and staff for my all caps but this definitely warrants some excitement...

OMG....... FITBIT FINALLY FIXED THE WATER LOGGING ISSUE...... IT'S WORKING ON MY VERSA NOW!!! THANK YOU FITBIT!!!

EDIT: Well, I spoke too soon. Worked for about an hour, then stopped. It hasn't worked all day since then. Figures. 🙄

Mine worked yesterday but today back to the same problem. I called Monday night and reinstalled my app, resynched everything and yesterday it worked great. Now...

Did you have to reset or do a specific update?

Not an update but a resync. But it’s still not working today. Bummer.

It used to be that water (and we'll everything) would eventually sync to the app after several hours or the next day. Now, not at all. It is indeed amusing how terrible these apps are. I switched from Garmin, because their system is horrible, and Fitbit is even worse.

I'm having the same issue. It worked fine for the first week and now, it is stuck at a similiar display, showing what I tried adding hours ago

I'm using a Huawei Nova Plus and I have done all the troubleshooting suggested as well.

I see this was posted Dec 2018. I got my versa June 2019 and this problem persists. Is there an update I can download?
