Water logged on device doesn't show in Fitbit app (RESOLVED)

Fitbit Update: 12/18/19

Hi everyone,

When this thread started earlier this year, the issue was that waterlogging on the watch was not syncing over to the Fitbit app. No matter what you would log, it just wouldn't show up in the Fitbit app and didn't sync the information over.

Now, we're seeing reports that waterlogging is syncing over, but it is the wrong amount of water that was logged onto the watch. To keep threads organized and on-topic, I'm now going to close this thread and move the conversation here: Water Logging syncs incorrect amount to app.I've already merged some posts from this thread into that one.

If you're experiencing this new issue after updating to Fitbit OS 4.1, follow that thread for updates.

Fitbit Update: 2/7/19

Hi everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience while our team continues to investigate these reports with water logging issues. If you haven't yet tried some troubleshooting steps, I'd recommend the following:

  • Sync your Versa with your mobile device
  • Force quit and then restart the Fitbit app
  • Restart Today app on Versa and wait at least a minute

I'll keep you updated, so please stay tuned!

Fitbit Update: 1/24/19

Hey Versa Fam!

Our team is still investigating these reports for water logs not syncing over to the Fitbit app after logging them on your watch. We appreciate your reports and feedback.

If I receive any new information, I will update this thread so please stay subscribed. Thank you!

Sorry. Either it does or doesn’t work for u.
Try setting the device up from scratch again. Making sure to delete all profiles Bluetooth related to the versa. (Bought versa 2-24-2019; never had an issue except for one time. Have since then fixed it).

My water doesn't synch from my watch to my phone and I can't put in anymore water in my watch.

I get an announcement that says that I've reached the maximum off the input and I need to synch with the app. Well that's the problem It doesn't synch. I'v tried to shut down the watch, the app but nothing helps. So now the input off the water goes trough my app on my phone  and this way it's synching with my watch. But it's really annoying to do it like this.

I would like to know how to fix this.

Never mind, I think that something has worked for now. I can input the water again through my watch, I don't know for howlong but it is working now.

Yup. I got an update to my ionic. Loging water on the watch worked for that day and then stoped again.Sent from my Galaxy Tab® A

Wow. Cannot believe Fitbit is unable to resolve this issue in a timely manner. Makes me wonder if they are on a shoestring budget or how many developers they have in the department. This is a huge impact to their users who would like to track their water intake. All the other competitive fitness trackers not only are able to track water intake but they have a reminder system in place as well.

The water log sync problem is back again. Would not sync from my watch to app and have to key into the app for it to sync. It worked only for a day after the latest app update then not working again.

I deleted the app from my phone and unpaired my versa band from Bluetooth and then reinstalled and repaired my versa band with my phone. So far, it seem to be working and syncing. For how long, I will see.

It’ll work for some time. That’s how I managed to get mine to work. It is what it is. Sometimes devices have issues pairing (especially if u accidentally walk away from your phone). Just glad to see that the troubleshooting works for you.

I already reported the app not syncing with my hidrate bottle. I just wanted to day that i  upgrated to android 10 beta. The full stable version will be out this month. Maybe this us my problem. I was able to install both hidrate abd fitbit apps on my ipad and both are working well. Fitbit is pulling info from hidrate.

Hi All,

Mine will sync but with different numbers! Is anyone else getting that? Any time i add 500 ml on my watch it will register as 14,786 ml on the app.

Hope this will be fixed soon

I'm having the same problem too.

This band was too expensive for all these glitches. This is truly ridiculous. When I called Fitbit they told me they are working on it and should have a fix in their next update but from the date of the first feed this update should have happened by now. Very frustrated with Fitbit. I should have just stayed with my blaze.
