Fitbit Update: 12/18/19

Hi everyone,

When this thread started earlier this year, the issue was that waterlogging on the watch was not syncing over to the Fitbit app. No matter what you would log, it just wouldn't show up in the Fitbit app and didn't sync the information over.

Now, we're seeing reports that waterlogging is syncing over, but it is the wrong amount of water that was logged onto the watch. To keep threads organized and on-topic, I'm now going to close this thread and move the conversation here: Water Logging syncs incorrect amount to app.I've already merged some posts from this thread into that one.

If you're experiencing this new issue after updating to Fitbit OS 4.1, follow that thread for updates.

Fitbit Update: 2/7/19

Hi everyone!

Thanks so much for your patience while our team continues to investigate these reports with water logging issues. If you haven't yet tried some troubleshooting steps, I'd recommend the following:

  • Sync your Versa with your mobile device
  • Force quit and then restart the Fitbit app
  • Restart Today app on Versa and wait at least a minute

I'll keep you updated, so please stay tuned!

Fitbit Update: 1/24/19

Hey Versa Fam!

Our team is still investigating these reports for water logs not syncing over to the Fitbit app after logging them on your watch. We appreciate your reports and feedback.

If I receive any new information, I will update this thread so please stay subscribed. Thank you!

Hello everyone. Sorry to hear that you are still having issue with this option. Try logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in. Also restart your Versa and refresh the link between them by

going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Let me know how it goes!

Any updates from the developers on the bugs in the software? Or, could you
provide the URL for the buglist so that I could follow it, please?

Been having issues as well. Was working fine all week until Saturday.

I have an iPhone X, iOS 12.1.2

Fitbit App v.33.1.30

Today App v.33.1.30.c, updated 12/19/18

Just now I did the following:

1. Restart Versa

2. Log out of Fitbit app

3. Force quit Fitbit app

4. Log back into Fitbit app

5. Pull down to update/sync versa

 nothing changed

6. I was checking the settings and saw the manual button to sync now. After doing this I checked and my watch, app and even mobile browser dashboard all updated showing the same reading. Not sure if I actually drank the amount said but thought I would post it here.

tried this

didn't work.

i have found that if i force quit, then restart the versa, then re-sync in
the morning it will work (mostly) for the day. But it does not consistently
continue to work all day (same days it needs to be reset in the afternoon,
some days not).

i need to repeat these step every morning.

I tried all the steps and I still get the error message about Max water logs entered. Any idea when this will actually be fixed?

I've been having trouble with logging water on my phone, showing up on the app as thousands of mL...

*Sorry, I meant logging water on my Versa showing up as way more mL when synced to my phone.

Hi,

I too am having the exact same issues. I swapped from the Iconic to versa and thought the water log on the versa was a great idea. I'd been logging it on MFP but it was a bit off a faff considering how quick it can be on the versa. However it will log the water but not give me the total for the day, or it gets confused by days and updates it on the app to the wrong day so all my tracking is then out. I have gone back to logging it on MFP but hope it gets resolved soon. I am a fan of Fitbit and have had 5 different watches over the years however they all seem to have issues and glitches other makes don't appear to suffer from.  C'mon Fitbit or my next watch may be a different make!

Still not working... C'mon Fitbit, why unveil new features if they don't even work? I've done all the posted "fixes" numerous times, but in the end this just isn't ready for prime time. Moderators, do us a favor and let us know when this is officially 100% functional.

Just so you know. I have the same water loging problem with the Iconic. So it must be the app.

My watch is not sync water or weight logged on the phone. I have put it weights on several occasions now and they do not show up in the app. I have given up on logging these from the watch now.

Complaints have been going on for a month...how long is it going to take to fix this issue?  It’s useless if you cannot log your water intake on watch and sync to application so see on your phone and vice versa.

Hello everyone. Thank you for following my suggestions. Besides logging out from the app and refreshing the link try force quitting the app on your phone. The team has received other reports and this is being investigated so hopefully they can come up with a solution.

I'll be around!

The only way I can get it to work is to reset my FitBit. Shouldn’t have to do that every day to get it to sync. Please fix FitBit!
