Wearing Weight Lifting Gloves and Versa - NOT WORKING!

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have to wear gloves that have a wrap around on my wrist for support while lifting weights.

TWO DAYS in a row now. I have been 40-50 minutes into my workout only to realize that the versa was counting up to 30 minutes or so and then boom, everything disappears and not reflected in recent workouts. THIS IS INFURIATING. For this pricepoint, Fitbit would have done research and made design and software modifications to ensure each scenario is covered.

I have seen plenty of posts of people wearing gloves for whatever sport and SAME issue.

FITBIT - do SOMETHING. I am so so regretting getting rid of my Charge 2 Special Edition for this crappy versa. CRAPPY.

@iamrudes Welcome! It's great to see you around. Sorry to hear that your exercise recording has been interrupted since you wear weight lifting gloves. The only thing I could think  is that you can try wearing your Versa a little bit higher on your arm and use a sport wristband to secure it (so it doesn't get lose). This way you will hopefully avoid pressing the button while exercising. You can also vote for the idea in our Feature Suggestions board the more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it.

Let me know how it goes!

that's essentially what I have to resort to, i wear it on my dominant hand (right) and almost to the middle of my forearm so as to avoid the two buttons on the right of the device. Has worked so far, but WOULD be ideal to not have to do that 🙂 .

Thanks!

@iamrudes I do get your point and thank you for your understanding. Since you are already wearing your Versa this way I can only ask that you vote for the idea I mentioned before. This will let our developers know that people are interested in this feature (to lock the device while in exercise mode or something similar).

I'll be around!
