Wearing watch with wrist brace

I have to wear wrist braces to bed and sometimes during the day because of my carpel tunnel. I’ve been taking my watch off at night but I still want to track my sleep so I need to look into other options. Can it be worn over the brace to track sleep? Or maybe on the ankle?

@JRBartelen   Your Fitbit needs to track your heart rate to get sleep stages.  You will get sleep patterns, not sleep stages, if you wear it over your brace.  Some users wear their Fitbits on their ankles during the day for various reasons.  The sleep algorithm was developed using wrist data.  Sleep data from your ankle might or might not be useful.
