My weather app is only working when I am synced and connected to the fitbit app on my phone.  Does this app not work over wifi? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Sorry, I tried your solution as I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and it did not resolve the issue.  Everything worked fine until the latest update a few days ago. the Weather app is not updating to correct temperature.

Funny I now remember getting a notification that the Fitbit app was using my location in the background and asked me if I wanted to continue to alllow it and I switched it to “whole using app only” and that’s what goofed it all up! I have an iPhone 6s so I’m not sure for Android so sorry!!! But try settings and location services or app permissions and make sure the “Fitbit” app has permission to use location services or turn it on for the app... hope this helps!

My weather app is still not working. Worked fine for a week. The Fitbit is sync’d. Just not the weather app.

What kind of phone do you have? You have to allow the Fitbit app to use location services (permission) “always” not just when using the app. That’s how it pulls weather and location updates...

Uninstall the app on your watch and reinstall. Then reset (hold down left and lower right buttons), also restart phone and re-sync w Fitbit app. Make sure to give app permission for location services. My comments are based on what worked on my iPhone 6s. I cannot speak for other devices. Some other posts said they had to install the same weather app on their phones, I did not.

The problem I'm having is that I have to constantly sync my Versa and phone to see the weather.  I have "All-Day Sync" enabled and inside the Weather app, I have the "Toggle All" enabled to allow Internet, Location and Run in Background" ON.  Why in the world when I sit at my desk not 2 feet from my iphone do I have to actually open the Fitbit app and Sync to have the weather show on my Versa?  This is the most useless app I have.

Not sure if you got your answer yet or not but I don’t have to do all of that anymore... if my weather doesn’t show up once in a while I just have to open my weather app on the watch and that seems to take care of it... some watch faces have to update after apple or android updates their platform, so be patient if you’ve updated to the latest IOS or Android as that can mess with it as well. You may have to try a different watch face... I also switched faces and went back and that fixed the bug on my preferred face... hope this helps and sorry you are having issues! For what it’s worth I finally got my watch bands to cooperate... I was having serious issues getting them off and on!

Hello everyone sorry to hear that some of you are still having issues with your weather app. I suggest you refresh the link between your phone and your Versa by going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Also really important that you enable the Keep Widget alive option on your Versa settings so these apps update in the background. @beckymo1

To change the settings go to the weather app and select the unit you wish for it (Celsius or Fahrenheit)

@vcrkawduc happy to hear that the app is working for you.

@DeeeDeee thank you so much for your help in this thread.

Let me know how it goes!
