Weather Not Updating

I have had my Versa for almost a week now. Initially, the Weather app updated and displayed weather details. However, it now just asks that  I sync with the app to perform an update - which I have done many times - but the weather shows no data, just dashes.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Hi, when you press the Weather app, you will see a screen which says that Weather is installed, but also to possibilities: settings  and authorizations/permissions. Press the last one and make sure that everything is enabled. Restart your phone after this.

Hi, I recognize this problem, had it myself. In the Fitbit app, go to the page where Clock Faces, Apps, etc are displayed. Press Apps and go to my apps, scroll down to the Weather app and press on the settings on the right side of the screen. What do you see under cities? When only there is Current Location, press add city and enter the exact location where you are living and press search. After having done that and your location is added to the list of cities, sync your phone with your Versa and the Weather should be displayed. Good luck.

Hello,

I performed those steps a few days ago, and I was getting weather, but for the last days the app is not updating.

thanks for your response.

Very strange, cause since I added my city manually, the Weather update never fails. Does the city list mention your added location by the exact name?

Yes, as I type the city is suggested, and I select it. Also, I just added a new city to test, and the new city does not appear in the weather list on the watch. It's as if the weather sync is broken.

Thank you.

Fixed it. 🙂  I had to go into permissions for the fitbit app on the iPhone, disable/enable each one, and restart the app. Now I have weather again.  🙂

Thank you for leading up the right path.  🙂

Hi, adding new locations is limited to, as I recall well, 2 extra cities. If you add more, they will not appear in the list.

JLH64 thanks!  Accepted solution didn't work for me.  However, I tried what you suggested, to go into fitbit permissions on the iphone.  All of them were correct, but I disabled each one then re-enabled them and weather started working again!

Thanks! Worked like a charm and we'll see if it stays. It should though.

I have tried what is the solution and I'm still not getting the weather app to sync. I have unset and reset permissions.  I have powered off and back on my iPad.  I have restarted the Fitbit app.  The Weather app has a gear on its selection.  I figure this means that the app isn't set up but as far as I know it is.  I have also reset my Versa.

Any other suggestions?

For some reason I'm now getting the weather. So I don't know what changed from the time I posted to now.  It just wasn't showing the weather and stating that I needed to resync.  I wish I could tell you exactly what changed, but I can't.  All I know is that it is now working.

Mine wasn't updating and I realized it's because I changed my router. If you did then you'd need to update the wifi settings. Hope this helps!

I had the same issue. I went to settings on the versa device, then to settings select   bluetooth ,manage connections, turned on restore music controls and the weather app updates.
