Weather app doesn’t display stats unless I turn on Fitbit app

The weather icon on my Versa only displays weather information if I open the Fitbit app. It has a message that says something like ‘sync with AccuWeather app to get info’.

The entire point of the watch displaying the weather info is so I don’t have to look at my phone for this info. Does anyone know how I can change it so I can see the weather all the time on my Versa?

On Android the weather app communicates to the Fitbit notification service. I'm not sure if this is how the other phones work.

 

You are correct in that the weather app needs to talk with an app on your phone, and the Fitbit app is the best choice.
