Weather app on Versa isn't updating

The weather app on my Versa hasn’t been working for several days. It says “sync the Fitbit mobile app to update”. I’ve tried that along with other items from forum posts in April:

- sync while keeping Versa active 

- adding a location (not reflected)

- hard reset of Versa

 

I am on the latest iOS and Fitbit app. Help?

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. If the weather for your current location doesn’t appear, check that you turned on location services for the Fitbit app. For instructions, see How do I allow the Fitbit app to use my phone's GPS?. If you change locations, sync your watch to see your new location in the Weather app. To change the units used for the temperature in the Weather app:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap or click the Account icon > your device image.
  2. Tap or click Apps.
  3. Tap the gear icon next to Weather. You may need to scroll down to find the app.
  4. In the Temperature Unit section, tap Units and choose the unit you want to use.
  5. Sync your watch and then open the Weather app on your watch to see the updated units.

Hi Alejandra! Thanks for the suggestions. I should have mentioned that I
have location services on, as well as all day sync enabled. I've also
already done the items you suggested, with no luck, over the course of a
few days. The weather app was previously in Fahrenheit setting and changed
to Celsius when the problem originally occurred. I switched it back to
Fahrenheit, sync'ed multiple times, and even added the location. None of
that has reflected, and the error message "Sync the Fitbit mobile app to
update" still appears.

Hi @AlejandraFitbit - any additional advice? My weather app still isn't updating. It's now been weeks, including restarts, updates, and now even a new phone. Still nothing. I can't recommend a smartwatch where one of the base apps doesn't work.

I am having this same issue with the error message about syncing , even though I have pressed “sync now”. The app shows in Celsius despite the app settings showing Fahrenheit and it has no locations and when I go in the app I cannot add any locations (search does not bring up any results).

Hey there! The only thing that eventually worked for me when Fitbit didn’t
respond was to reset (not sure that’s the right term) the Fitbit device.
Hold down all three buttons until you see the Fitbit logo appear on the
screen. Good luck!
