my versa I got for Christmas in 2018 just went from 74% battery to dead in under under 2 hrs with no warning. It was charged just the day before today!!! Why has it done this? I charge my fit bit every 3 days.

Check for water in it - you may see condensation on the little windows if you look at the back with a magnifying.

Nope no water. It is the water proof version as well. I waited to get it in order to get the water proof one and I still take it off when I shower or bathe

Will it charge normally?
It could be a clock bug, try a different clock to check. Though after it shutdown it may cure itself when it restarts.
Good its not water.

Mine did the same today and I purchased it in October 2018. I charged it a couple of hours ago and it’s already down 10%

I purchased mine in 2019 - it was replaced earlier this year as it was deemed defective. Now after the latest formware update it is like yours. Holds a charge for less then 24hrs. I have done all the trouble shooting and when I reached out to them they did a battery test. It has now been deemed defective and there only offer if help is a discount on a new device.
Feel this is like the Apple phones and there lawsuit about firmware effecting older units battery life.
but maybe I am wrong.
very disappointed. And will never choose a Fitbit product again.
