So I understand that the Versa is water resistant and not water proof, yet it is claimed that it is good for 50 metres of water pressure which leads one to believe that it's a lot more than shower or rain proof. Furthermore, it has the ability to measure swimming activity.
So the big question is - can/should I swim with the Versa or not?
If yes, then why is it described as water resistant and not water proof?
If no, then why say it is good for 50m and have the ability to measure swim activities?

Hi
Based on Fitbit's own help page, it lists the Versa as swimproof.
Very little things are truly waterproof and I think they have to say that it's only water resistant for legal reasons. Even diver watches are only ever water resistant (although generally to a much greater degree than normal watches).

It is Waterproof. I swim (I'm a competitive swimmer) with mine daily, and have even free dived to at least 15 feet with it on in the Ocean.
