Hello @Cas1417

Your Fitbit device tracks your EOV while you sleep using redand infrared sensors on the back of the device. The sensors shine red and infrared light onto your skin and blood vessels, using the color of the light that bounces back to approximate how much oxygen is in your blood:

  • Richly oxygenated blood is red and reflects more redlight than infrared light.
  • Poorly oxygenated blood is bluish red and reflects more infrared light than red light.

You can read more about it here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1876.htm?Highlight=red%20lights

😃 So basically your Fitbit Versa Lite is functioning properly. I hope this answers your question. Please let me know

Hello @Cas1417 and welcome to the Community.  It's common for the red light to be on for 30 minutes or so after you wake up.  It's not normal for it to be on all the time.  If it is staying on, I suggest that you restart your Versa Lite.  If it stays on, please contact Support for more help.  Do not do a factory reset on your device unless you are told by Support to do it.  There was a known problem where a factory reset bricked Versa Lite devices.  I don't know if it was fixed with a firmware update or not.
