My Fitbit Versa 2 has gone missing. I'm sure it's in the house somewhere, but I have had no luck finding it. In a desperate attempt to find it, I looked on the Fitbit app to see if there was some way to locate it. Well all I found was the fitness tracker in the app. So I pulled it up just to see what would happen and I saw a red circle :heavy_large_circle: that stays in place,  and a blue dot with an arrow/triangle attached to it, which moves. So I assume that the blue dot represents me... however as I sit here on the couch, this thing is moving around!!! Meanwhile the red :heavy_large_circle: stays put. If I can upload a picture, you will see in the pic, the :blue_circle: has gone everywhere, while I sit still. What does this mean? Why is this happening? What is the red :heavy_large_circle:, and why is the :blue_circle: moving while I remain in one place? Oh, and it appears to not even be where I am. I'm 222, and it appears to be next to the 222🤷‍:female_sign:. I joked with my husband and said a squirrel must have it lol.

@Qtpy0107 You're using the phone app tracker which has absolutely nothing to do with a Fitbit watch. And if the watch has been un seen for Months, it's a safe bet the battery is completely dead, even if it was turned off. Hope you can find it and it still takes a charge. If we leave these sit too long, the battery won't charge anymore.

Hello @Qtpy0107

Are you quite sure you didn’t leave it on the porch by accident and a child got ahold of it? Your right the Versa 2 is definitely moving. 🥴 Gosh I hope it’s not in the dryer or something.

I’ve personally never tried this app to find my Fitbit but it’s worth a shot: https://www.findmyfitnessband.com/find-my-fitbit.html?keyword=locate+my+fitbit&creative=224757346247...

Not sure! I last remember seeing it on the charger. This was months ago. It's only recently that it became a desperate search because it was a gift and we're going to be visiting the person who gave it and they're going to want to see it! If it's moving then somehow one of the neighbors must have gotten a hold of it. However even when nobody's home over there it's showing that it's moving and in the same spot. Maybe somebody found it somewhere somehow and attached it to a cat I have no idea this is such a mystery!!! I swear the last time I saw it it was on the charger. Ugh lol

Do you know what the red circle is? You can see the red circle in the picture, on the left  of the "scribbles", straight across from the blue circle.

Yikes 🥴 that’s gonna be an awkward visit if you come “wrist empty”. I’d try that “Find My Fitbit” link I sent you in my previous post. It’s certainly worth a shot.
keep me updated how it goes.

I can see the red circle you are talking about @Qtpy0107 but it’s difficult to tell if that’s the start point or simply a loop the Versa 2 performed and returned to the chaotic scene in the middle.

Oh okay, nice to know. That sucks about the battery!! I hope that's not the case with mine! Thank you.

I have discovered that the red circle is the starting point. 👍 Although this still makes no sense at all... especially if the app tracker has nothing to do with the watch itself lol. Must be a glitch in the app?

Thank you for the link. I did try it and of course it didn't work. I'm sure the battery is dead on the watch.

Hello again @Qtpy0107

🥺 I’m sorry you were unable to find your Versa 2. As you stated (and I agree) that the battery is understandable dead by now. As far as the Fitbit App displaying the map tracking… it’s giving the appearance that the Versa 2 is literally doing cartwheels all over your yard but I can’t speak on it being a glitch in the app as I’m not a programmer but it’s certainly a mystery. With all that said, I hope your friend who gave you the Versa 2 has a sense of humor when you go to visit and explain the situation. You can always tell them your particular Versa 2 had a restless soul and trekked out to find a new stomping ground to explore. 🤭

Enjoy the visit with your friend! 😃

@SunsetRunner No it's not. The app is designed to use in case you forgot your watch. It's an optional GPS tracker. It's NOT showing the Versa 2 doing cartwheels, It's acting funny because it's in tracking mode while sitting on the couch. Maybe if @Qtpy0107 tried going for a walk using it, it'd work better.

I know the Versa 2 isn’t truly doing cartwheels @MarkMM . The comment was made in jest as I referred to it as “giving the appearance”… using the image provided

@SunsetRunner  Lol, good one. I thank you for your help. Hopefully as I continue to move furniture around, it'll show up. If not, we will be purchasing a new one. I just don't have the heart to face my (she's actually my husband's cousin) without it.

@SunsetRunner You STILL don't understand. 🤣 The app is trying to GPS track with the phones GPS. It has nothing to do with a Fitbit watch. It's NOT “giving the appearance” of a Fitbit watch is doing cartwheels. It has nothing to do with a Fitbit watch.

@MarkMM Thank you for your help/input. Noting your last reply, I did actually try going for "a walk" down the parking lot and to the street and back, but it didn't follow me. It still acted crazy. Oh well, not to worry. I was only trying something, and was a wee bit surprised and confused by what I was seeing.

@SunsetRunner Yeah sure.

"Your right the Versa 2 is definitely moving. 🥴 Gosh I hope it’s not in the dryer or something."

"but it’s difficult to tell if that’s the start point or simply a loop the Versa 2 performed and returned to the chaotic scene in the middle"

" it’s giving the appearance that the Versa 2 is literally doing cartwheels all over your yard "

All jokes? Um, Ok. at least @Qtpy0107 understands how it works now.
