Really getting more and more frustrated with the fitbit app.

While trying to solve the 2 issues with not tracking GPS and Fitbit coach posting a double workout with Fitstar, the App has decided to stop working all together. It's wasn't syncing, with error message something like can't sync at this time...and then it logged me out and claims that the password is wrong. Ofcourse I can still log in on PC. But the Dashboard website is also barely working today. And I cannot sync the versa to PC because I don't have the freakin dongle.

I can't believe this happening. I really hoped that the app would be fixed after 5 years... Fitbit = worst user experience. And I can't simply go use another tracker because fitbit is the only tracker that tracks  both in depth sleep and exercise accurately. Other companies may have perfectly working apps/web interfaces, but their tracking sucks. 😞

I've had the Versa for 2 weeks now and the phone is Samsung S8

@Atissa Double posting with Coach/Fitstar is unfortunately known issue. The good thing is that you do not get double credit for the exercise (calories etc). Samsung S8 is fully compatible as far as I know. Please try this:

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Reboot your phone. Do not pair in your phone's bluetooth settings. The trick here is to not pair in phone Bluetooth settings but rather let the Fitbit mobile app do that.
  3. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo appears
  4. Open Fitbit mobile app and sync
  5. Make sure Always Connected and All day sync are enabled in the Fitbit mobile app
  6. Make sure Fitbit mobile app is not being optimized by Android (Android Settings>Battery>Optimization).

Additional tips if sync issues persist: If you have Wifi set up, go to Fitbit mobile app and remove it, then sync your Versa. I noticed that it causes issues for me. If you have other Bluetooth devices paired with your phone, forget them. One of them might be causing issues.
