What is the Activation Date?

Can someone tell me what the Activation Date refers to? Is it the date someone sets up the watch? Or is it the date it was manufactured? Or something else? Here's an image: I found this by swiping left to settings, and scrolling all the way down to "About." Photo attached. UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_9d33.jpg

I think it's the date it was first set up by a user, which is when the warranty period begins.  I would guess that means connected to phone through Fitbit but sure of the exact "set up activation" definition.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
