Does anybody please know how long the warranty is on fitbits or what proof of purchase you need to send it and get a new Versa. It’s clear from messages on this feed that repairs aren’t possible. Which is obvs annoying but there we go.

Hi there @daveyd, thanks for getting back. Note that we don't have repair centers in any country where Fitbit trackers are sold.

Would you mind giving me a brief summary of the issue you may be experiencing with your Versa so I can help you?

Also, note that if your Fitbit devices suffers damage while under warranty, you may contact Customer Support. Discounts and replacements depend on tracker model and other factors.

I'll be here to help you, keep me posted.

The warranty period varies by country. Generally it's 12 months from purchase but in some places, like Europe, it's 24 months. You can see the full terms via the link at the bottom of this page.

Proof of purchase may not be required but you do have to have bought the fitbit from an approved retailer and it may be required for that.

Best thing to do is to contact customer support via contact.fitbit.com and they can check your warranty status and advise on your options.

it’s 1 year in the US, 2 years in Europe I believe.

Hello there @daveyd, welcome to the Community Forums.

Would you mind giving me a brief summary of the issue you may be experiencing with your Versa so I can help you?

In regards to your inquiry, as @SteveH and @Claire2403 mentioned, Fitbit warrants to the original purchaser that your Fitbit-branded device and accessories that are new (the "New Product(s)") shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase, except that if you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) and you purchased your Fitbit product in the EEA, the warranty period is two (2) years from the date of purchase (the "New Product Warranty Period").

If your device is found to be defective within the warranty period, it may be eligible for replacement. For our full warranty terms and conditions, see our Return Policy and Warranty. Australia customers, click here.

An extended warranty called the Fitbit Protection Plan (FPP) is available for purchase with certain Fitbit products purchased in the United States from fitbit.com. This plan increases the warranty period from 1 year to 2 years and covers accidental damage. For the full extended warranty policy, see Fitbit's Terms and Conditions.

Let us know if you need further assistance or any questions present.
