Hi all,
got a message on my Fitbit app that an update was available and updated my Versa 2 to this new version without any problems so far. The installation, over WiFi, took about 6 minutes to finish. Cannot find, yet, on the homepage of the Versa Smartwatches any information about this update, so at this very moment I cannot tell you what's the difference between this version and the former one. AFAIK, the SpO2 sensor is still not active, also not after updating my Fitbit app. I still only get the O2 variation during my sleep periods, e.g. low or high variations. Just FYI. Erik

I think my watch has been bricked. It has gone back to the screen that comes up when you first buy the watch. The app cannot find my watch and when I try to setup my watch all over again it won't work properly. I am being asked to enter the 4 digit code from my device but there is no code being displayed on my device. Very frustrating after spending a lot of money recently to get this new watch

Hi @Noddyhawk , did you place your Versa in the charger and activated the WiFi settings before performing the update? If not, do so and try again. Erik

More than likely, one of your other Bluetooth devices got in first, iPad, Amazon tablet, TV. If you try installing or updating the app, with all other Bluetooth devices switched off or in flight mode, your device with the Fitbit app on it, will be the first device the Versa sees, and you will get the four digit code to enter, if required.

After this update, my watch is not receiving any notifications. The fit app says that phone restart is required to send notification.
I have restarted my phone and watch many times but still it's showing that message and I am not receiving any notifications.
My watch sucks after this update.. is there a solution to this??
Or is there a way to downgrade the version to previous

I hope your issue is resolved soon!!!

Just got it fixed...
Just did a new setup starting from fresh.
Note: sync all your data with your account to avoid any loss.
1. Disconnect watch and mobile and deleted all bluetooth connection with watch
2. Force stop the app
3.Clear cache and data..
4.uninstall the app
5.Reinstall it
6.Login with your credentials
7. Add your watch again to app and make the connection
It worked!!!

Whoa! lot of things to do to reset but I am so glad that it worked!!!
If you could keep us posted about how things go in the next days or weeks, like new problems or NO problems, I would appreciate it so much. And I think others would too! I will save these steps in case I need them.
I hope it was just a one time thing and all is good! I love my Versa 2 overall 🙂 and just got my hubby one for Father's Day!!
Thanks again!!

Sure,. I hope my watch doesn't give anymore troubles in future. It's really frustrating when such things happens because of a minor firmware update that wasn't even required.
I did contacted the customer support for this but only to waste my time as they made me do all the unnecessary steps like checking my phone settings, restarting my phone and all..
I even asked for the transcript of my chat with the support team which I never received.
I would suggest to solve it yourself if you face any issue and want it to be fixed..😅

Ever since the update, I am not getting constant heart rate monitoring.

Heart rate tracking is spotty. I go for a one mile walk, and it says I have the same heart rate for most of the mile. Just a long flat line. This lack of heart rate tracking is also keeping me from getting sleep scores, because it says it can't detect my sleeping heart rate. This in turn makes my RHR inaccurate. Please fix this.

Fitbit has sent me a replacement watch since mine was less than a year old. Contact them thru chat support. They'll run thru some basic troubleshooting. If none fixes it and your watch is still under warranty, they'll send you a replacement.

Team,
I haven't got any update from your side since many days regarding the issue which I had reported.
I am still not getting any notification on my watch after the latest firmware update for which you had assured that it's an issue from your side and will be resolved soon.
But till today no one has even contacted me with any updates on the issue.
I can also see some users post regarding getting an replacement of the watch if it's under one year. Please tell me if this is the case for my watch as well as it is also within warranty period and just 6month old.

I'm getting very much the same issue as you, and after reading this particular thread about firmware revision, I'm thinking this is a common issue.
I had a chat with support with whom I went through the whole heart rate off, sync, restart, heart rate on, sync. Stopped working again within minutes. Did a factory reset, was told it was updating - ended up being the same version the 'firmware' was on previously (If the correct terminology is used, then firmware should never need re-updating, as by definition, it should be written onto microchips that will store it indefinitely - it's basically not software).
Anyway, heart rate rarely works for more than an hour then I 'flat line'. I also regularly get an issue with the screen not waking when looking at the watch, Strava app is extremely slow to sync (if at all), and when starting exercises I'm stuck on 'connecting' (sometimes it gives me mileage I've covered, sometime not), and the connected GPS has been really inaccurate and lost me a couple of KOMs in strava as a result (imagine my anger after working so hard). All in all, it has been a very hit & miss experience and this new device I've spent a fair amount of money on is nothing but a hindrance. I really think it'll just be easier to record the activities from my phone again (as the heart rate is useless anyway).
