WhatsApp notifications won't come through my Versa 3

I have recently received a Versa 3 and have been setting it up. I have successfully set up call, text and email notifications to my device but I can't do the same for WhatsApp. According to the user manual I need to go to App Notifications under Notifications in the Fitbit App to turn on the app notifications I want to see. However, there is no app notifications section, only push and email notifications.

Hi there, @Brinsley. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with the notifications.

Since you're setting up notifications, you'll need to receive a message from the app desired in order for your app to show it as option in your Fitbit notification's section. For example, tell someone to send a WhatsApp, then check your Fitbit app and you'll see that WhatsApp is already an option to be selected.

Nevertheless, please note that you can choose 1 app per category. The most common apps for these features are:

  • Calls—Dialer
  • Text messages—Messages
  • Calendar events—Calendar
  • Emails—Gmail

However, for "Text Messages" section you can only select your primary text messaging app (that can be WhatsApp, your phone's default Message app or any other). However, in "App Notifications" section you can select more apps, for example if you decided that for your primary text messaging app you want it to be WhatsApp, in App Notifications you can enable Messages app.

Hi @Brinsley - you are following the right instructions, to get to App notifications you need to click the profile photo AND then the device photo and Notifications and App notifications.

Thank you very much for your reply. Being new to Fitbit I have no idea what
the profile and device photos are or where to find them.

Update: Thank you Guy. I have managed to navigate my way to App notifications, though thanks to MarreFitbit I now know I was trying to achieve the impossible.
